What do you need to pass the exam. USE: compulsory subjects for passing the exam. Minimum and passing scores

For two years now, the USE in mathematics has been divided into 2 exams - basic and specialized. Let's deal with the most important thing: what are the differences between the exams, and why each of them is needed.

Let's look at the two levels of the exam in mathematics in more detail

BASIC LEVEL OF THE USE IN MATHEMATICS

  1. Consists of one part - 20 tasks with a short answer (in the answer to each of the tasks there can be an integer, a final decimal fraction or a sequence of numbers)
  2. Exam duration - 3 hours

As can be seen from the graph, the basic exam contains tasks of three levels of difficulty. The largest number is assigned to tasks of the 1-6 grade level. The solution of all tasks from this block ensures the passing of the exam

Who Should Take the Basic Exam Only:

  • Applicants to philological, theater and other specialties where the USE result in mathematics is not required as an entrance exam
  • Students who decide to pass the base as early as the 10th grade in order to devote more time to subjects important for admission
  • Poor learners who missed the 10-11 grade math program

Benefits of choosing a core exam:

  • saving preparation time
  • no tutoring costs
  • the opportunity to pass the exam in grade 10

Minuses:

  • limited choice of specialties
  • preparation difficulties may arise if at the last moment you decide to pass a profile

PROFILE LEVEL OF THE USE IN MATHEMATICS

  1. It consists of two parts - 9 tasks with a short answer in the first, 5 tasks with a short answer and 7 tasks with a detailed answer in the second.
  2. Exam duration - 3 hours 55 minutes

In the profile exam, there are also simple tasks from the program of grades 1-6, but unlike the base, their number is reduced to two, and the wording itself is a little more complicated. A rather large block of tasks is assigned to the program of grades 7–9 - 8 tasks, 7 of which are quite easy and one difficult task in geometry. The rest of the tasks are divided into material that should be mastered in grades 10-11 and 2 tasks of the Olympiad level. Olympiad tasks are not included in the school curriculum and must be mastered independently or in the classroom with a tutor.

Who should take only the profile exam:

  • Students who want to enter technical universities.
  • Those who decide to apply not only for humanitarian specialties, but also for related areas: public relations, personnel management, etc.
  • Those wishing to try their hand at the profile.

Advantages of choosing a profile exam:

  • wider choice of specialties
  • the opportunity to use the results for admission to related specialties

Minuses:

  • difficult preparation
  • for best result additional lessons required

! Things to remember if both profile and base are selected.

To significantly complicate the life of those who need a profile, the decision to take the basic level can also be taken.

Applicants who for some reason did not pass the profile exam on day 1 (for health reasons, could not cope with nerves, ruined the form, etc.) are not allowed to retake if they also chose the basic exam. Therefore, if you are confident in your abilities and are going to enter only in areas where the result of a profile exam is required, consider refusing the basic level, even if the school insists on passing it.

Now that we have figured out what the exam in mathematics is, we are sharing with you tips that will definitely help you in the exam.

  1. Hints in the tasks themselves.
When completing tasks from the USE, you will certainly come across such a wording in the task “Round your answer to hundredths” or “Round your answer to integers”. This instruction will help you not to make a mistake. If the answer without rounding turned out to be an integer, it means that a mistake was made in the solution, and the task should be solved again.
  2. Olympiad tasks.
A little higher, we said that there are 2 such tasks in the profile exam, and both are not included in the school curriculum. Often students do not even try to solve these tasks. But even completing part of such a task will bring a few points. Try it!
  3. Use the USE standards.
It should be remembered that the answers in the first part of the exam must always be an integer or decimal. If you got a number with a root in your answer, then the answer is incorrect and requires rechecking.

The Russian language is one of the compulsory subjects of the Unified State Examination. Without a positive exam result, a graduate simply will not receive a certificate of secondary education. What is today's version of the exam In Russian? What should be taken into account when preparing?

Everything USE assignments in Russian, they assume a good knowledge of the school curriculum, do not go beyond it. Nevertheless, the tasks are structured in such a way that they test the most diverse knowledge of students and their ability to work with text.

Control and measuring materials (KIM) in the Russian language consist of two parts. The first part includes 24 tasks with a short answer or with a choice of correct answers. The second part involves writing an essay-reasoning on the text read.

First part

Let's take a closer look at the tasks of the first part. The examination paper opens with a short scientific style text. The first task at the initial stages of preparation often causes difficulty for schoolchildren. It requires finding sentences that contain the main information of the text. What can be advised? It is necessary to find in the text the key, most important in terms of content, words. And then find answers in which all these words will be present.

Task number 4

Task number 4 also causes difficulties, because it tests the knowledge of orthoepic norms, in other words, the ability to stress words. But some words in everyday life are often mispronounced, we get used to them mispronunciation. In fact, these words have to be memorized again in preparation for the exam.

Task number 7

Task number 7 is very "expensive". If performed correctly, it can earn you as many as five primary points. But it is also very complex, because it includes a huge number of grammatical rules. Here is the ability to use participial and participle phrases, and the ability to choose the right form of a word for certain prepositions, and the ability to build simple and complex sentences. And not just to build the correct construction yourself, but to find errors in already proposed sentences, among which there are absolutely correct ones from a grammatical point of view. Preparation for this task must begin in advance, then it becomes clear which constructions can be erroneous.

Tasks #8-14

Tasks from the eighth to the fourteenth check the knowledge of spelling, the rules for writing words, starting with vowels in the root of the word and ending with the continuous-separate spelling of words of various parts of speech. Traditionally, the greatest difficulty is not spelling with different parts of speech (task 12), spelling n, nn (task 14), as well as continuous separate spellings (task 13). In task 13, there are words that may be partial homonyms, that is, they are pronounced the same way, but they are written differently. So these rules should also be taken into account.

Tasks #15-19

Tasks from the fifteenth to the nineteenth checks the ability to put punctuation marks in sentences of various syntactic structures. It is important to understand what kind of sentence is in front of you: simple or complex, whether it has homogeneous members, appeals, introductory constructions. Of course, knowledge of the rules studied in grades 5-9 is checked.

Tasks No. 20-24: working with text

Then, the writers of the exam are offered a large text of fiction or journalistic style. Tasks twenty to twenty-four test knowledge about the text as such. How much the student understands the content of the read passage, whether he understands the types of speech and the means of connecting sentences in the text. Task 24 can earn you 4 primary points if done correctly. The task tests knowledge about the means of artistic expression used in the proposed text. Please note that there are hints in the task: it is indicated what kind of means of expression is used: syntactic, lexical, trope (word in figurative meaning). Of course, this material also needs to be repeated.

Second part

The second part of the examination paper offers to write an essay-reasoning on the read text. We immediately pay attention to the type of speech. Essay-reasoning. That is, your work should have a clear structure: thesis, arguments, conclusion. An essay in Russian is written according to:

  • First, we indicate the problem of the read text. There may be more than one problem in the text. You need to choose one.
  • The second is to comment on the formulated problem. In fact, this is the answer to the question why the author spoke about this. The comment is taken from the text. What the author saw in the life around him, what he heard, remembered, read, what he spoke about this problem.
  • Thirdly, it is necessary to determine the position of the author on the problem raised.
  • The fourth is to express your point of view. This will be your thesis. You may or may not agree with the author.
  • Fifth - pick up two arguments in defense of your point of view. Moreover, you will get the highest score for this criterion only if one of the arguments is from fiction, scientific literature or journalism. The second may be from life. You can, of course, give two arguments from life, but you will lose one point. Sixth - you need to draw a conclusion, summing up your thoughts. This is about the way we see that the examination paper is evaluated when checking the work.

Thus, we see that there is nothing in the examination paper that goes beyond the framework of the school curriculum. But the amount of material being tested is quite large. Therefore, you need to start preparing, of course, in advance. It would be nice to completely write the work, identify problem areas and work them out. You will know which questions are difficult for you. If you start studying in advance, for example, from the beginning of the school year, then there is every chance not only to pass the exam, but to pass it very well.

The USE is a centralized exam conducted in Russian educational institutions. Thanks to the control measuring materials, it helps to assess the quality of student preparation. In the article we will learn how to pass the exam, which exams to take and how to get 100 points.

Since 2009, the USE has been a form of final exams at a lyceum or school, as well as a form of entrance exams to universities. The list of compulsory disciplines is presented in mathematics and Russian. The rest of the items are optional. It can be a foreign language, literature, computer science, physics, geography and others.

The number of optional items selected for delivery is not limited. When compiling a list of disciplines, students are guided by the requirements of the higher educational institution chosen for admission.

They take the exam from May to June. The legislation provides for early and additional delivery periods. The first is in April and the second is in July. The graduates of the current year who:

  • Are called to the army;
  • Go to the Russian or international Olympiad;
  • Are sent for treatment abroad;
  • They are graduating from a Russian-language school in a country with a difficult climate.

The additional period provides for the delivery of the Unified State Examination by foreign citizens, graduates of previous years, graduates of the initial vocational education.

On the Russian territory conducting the state exam controls federal Service on supervision in the field of science and education with the support of the executive authorities of the Russian subjects. If testing is carried out abroad, in addition to Rosobrnadzor, the founders of an educational institution that has passed state accreditation are involved in the procedure.

Evaluation of the results of the final certification is based on a hundred-point system. For each discipline, a minimum bar is set in points, overcoming which confirms that the student has mastered the school educational program. The USE results are considered valid for 4 years following the year in which the student received them.

If the result of a participant in the final attestation in a compulsory academic discipline does not reach the established minimum level, a retake in an additional period is provided. If the second surrender was unsatisfactory, it is allowed to try your luck again, but in the fall. In the case of the subject of choice, everything is more complicated. An attestation participant who has not scored the minimum number of points is forced to wait for a retake for a year.

Important! Government testing participants removed from the classroom for misconduct, cheating, or use mobile phone are severely punished. Their results are canceled, as well as the right to retake in an additional period. Re-surrender is allowed after one year. So don't cheat on the exam.

How to pass the exam if you don't know anything

Pedagogical practice shows that schoolchildren, instead of preparing for exams, relax and communicate with friends. In the old days, in the absence of knowledge, lazy schoolchildren came to the rescue made on hastily cribs.

The introduction of the Unified State Examination has significantly complicated the procedure for passing state testing. Members of the commission closely monitor each student, and the use of cheat sheets and electronics is severely punished. How to successfully pass the certification, if during the preparatory period the matter did not come to study? I have a few tips for this.

  • If there are still a few weeks until the day of judgment, start preparing. Use the services of a tutor and pay special attention to solving trial tasks. Learning the basic level is the key to success if you don't know anything.
  • If testing is in a few days and there is no time to study the material, take a look at the pages of the textbook. It is possible that at an important moment visual memory will come to the rescue. How to improve memory, I told in one of the articles.
  • When test day arrives, stay confident, grab your ID card, passport, some pens and pencils, a ruler and eraser, and go. Also make sure you have a bottle in your backpack. mineral water and chocolate.
  • Once in the audience, choose a seat you like, sit comfortably at the table, and take a few deep breaths. Do not worry. During the year you attended classes and for sure something remained in your memory.
  • After receiving the package with forms and tasks, slowly fill in the registration data. When teachers give the go-ahead, get down to business. You have 4 hours at your disposal.
  • Start with what you know. Once you've completed easy tasks, move on to more difficult tasks. Even if there are difficulties with the decision, do not rush to leave the audience. Stay until the very end. It is not uncommon for the correct answer to come at the last moment.

People who are well acquainted with the procedure for passing the final certification, argue that many students greatly exaggerate the complexity of the situation and lower the level of knowledge in their thoughts. It's all due to stress. If you are striving to achieve a goal, curb your panic, calm down and tune in to work. This is the secret of success.

What exams are taken in the 11th grade in 2020

According to available information, passing the 11th grade test in mathematics and Russian is not enough to obtain a certificate in 2020. Now you need to pass an optional exam.
If you do not plan to study at the university, opt for a simple school discipline.

Full list subjects available for selection are represented by literature, chemistry, physics, history, geography, social science, computer science and foreign languages.

Among the innovations in 2020 is the absence of a test part, with the exception of foreign languages. Therefore, prepare responsibly, as the written exam is more difficult than the multiple-choice test.

There were rumors that in 2020, the grades for the Unified State Examination will affect the grades in the certificate in the direction of decreasing or increasing. It is also planned to make the Russian language exam more difficult. This year, graduates will face more difficult tasks. As for the essay and the criteria for its evaluation, no changes are provided here.

The list of the most popular exams in universities is represented by the exact sciences, including computer science, chemistry and physics. This is due to the shortage of qualified engineers in the country and the surplus of economists and financiers.

Periodically visit the portal of the Federal Institute for Pedagogical Measurements. Documents related to passing the exam are regularly published here. There is also a table of changes that will help in compiling a complete impression of the innovations.

What exams do you need to pass for admission to universities

It is impossible to enter an institute or university without a certificate of passing the exam. It is important that a graduate who plans to become a student of one of the universities must pass exams for admission. In this part of the material, I will consider several popular areas and help in choosing school disciplines for delivery. And remember that mathematics and Russian are mandatory.

  1. If you plan to enter a medical school, prepare for the exam in chemistry and biology. Dentists need to pass the physics exam. Some universities require a foreign language test.
  2. Those who want to study psychology need to pass an exam in biology, which is considered a major. Depending on the chosen direction, the results of the Unified State Examination in a foreign language are sometimes needed. It all depends on the university.
  3. If you see yourself as a teacher, get ready to pass the corresponding subject. In particular, for admission to the Physics and Mathematics, in addition to the main exams, physics is needed. For a chemist-biologist, delivery in chemistry and biology is provided, and so on.
  4. There are many faculties available to graduates who want to study at MSU. For example, if you choose the department of "Recreational Geography and Tourism", take the exam in geography, and the department of "Philosophy" will require natural science.
  5. There are also requirements in MIPT. To enter this university, you need computer science or physics. It all depends on the direction chosen by the graduate.
  6. Educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have special requirements for applicants. They give preference to graduates who have passed the Unified State Examination in social studies, history, physics or biology, depending on the direction. Each graduate will also have to pass sports standards.
  7. For those who want to become a student of the military space academy, I recommend focusing on preparing for the exam in physics. Without this major subject, as well as without sports standards, the university will not accept.

In conclusion, I will add that each educational institution makes its own requirements for the results of the exam. If you have already decided on the university and faculty, contact admission committee for detailed information. This will protect against a fatal mistake.

What you need to know to pass the exam for 100 points

Graduates who aspire to enter the university are preparing to pass the exam with all responsibility. Many aim to get 100 points in all subjects. It is not surprising, because the maximum score indicates that the graduate has knowledge from the school curriculum for the highest level. Such results open the way to any of the universities.

Many people think that it is impossible to pass the exam with 100 points. In reality, this is not so. With timely and proper preparation, any student has the opportunity to pass tests and get the highest score.

We will analyze the nuances of pre-exam preparation. This set of simple recommendations will help you pass the exam with 100 points in the following subjects: social science, biology, history, Russian and foreign languages, mathematics, physics and chemistry. Let's get started.

  • Stock up on textbooks for the subjects chosen for delivery from the sixth to the eleventh grade. During preparation, pay special attention to the topics that cause the most difficulty.
  • Study the exam questions to understand what questions you will face on the exam. Keep a diary, make a preparation schedule. For each item of the drawn up plan, allocate time sufficient for in-depth study of the material.
  • Keep an outline. Reading textbooks, write out the main concepts and terms. Drawings and diagrams will increase the efficiency of memorization. Between outlined topics, leave free space for fixing new or additional information on important issues.
  • Teachers like it when the student speaks. Learn to give detailed answers, argue arguments, give explanations, use terms. Meaningful answers will increase the chances of getting the highest score.
  • Visualize new information. As practice shows, cramming is a waste of time. Delve into the topic being studied, use the advantages of associative memory, imagine images.
  • Get a manual with tests in your chosen subjects and spend a lot of time working through them. Self-preparation will help to learn the material and hone the skills of solving standard problems.
  • Start preparing early. Regardless of the chosen subject, you will have to study a huge amount of information. It takes time to master this volume. Start preparing at least a year in advance. To improve the quality of knowledge, I advise you to use the services of a tutor or sign up for thematic courses.
  • Harness the time. A certain amount of time is allotted for testing in school subjects. Complete all tasks within the time frame. At the same time, in pursuit of 100 points, you have to solve problems quickly and correctly. To improve the skill, I recommend using the demo version of the exam on the website of the department.

If you set yourself a goal of 100 points in all subjects, be prepared for laborious and lengthy preparation. The above recommendations will make things easier and will be a good help.

Answers on questions

Do I need to take the exam after college and technical school?

At the initial stage of its introduction, the Unified State Examination caused a lot of different emotions among graduates of colleges and technical schools. This is justified by the status of entrance examinations to Russian higher educational institutions obtained by state testing. What does it mean?

The presence of a certificate of passing the final attestation opens the way to any university if the test results meet the requirements established by the university. People who graduated from school before 2009 do not have such a document. And if they continued their studies at a college or technical school, after graduation they are interested in whether they need to pass the exam to enter a university? Further development of the situation has two scenarios.

  • A graduate of a college or technical school who wants to continue his studies at the university in accordance with the specialty he has received is not threatened with passing the state exam. To enroll in a university, it is enough to pass a profile exam.
  • If a student received one specialty at a college or technical school, and wants to learn another profession at the university, there are two ways to solve the problem. The first provides for passing the exam, and the second - passing the entrance exams, as it was before.

The introduction of new rules has deprived graduates of technical schools and colleges of some of the benefits that help to guarantee admission to the university. But the presence of a diploma of a secondary educational institution, nevertheless, gives the student more confidence.

How to pass the exam to a graduate of previous years

It is not uncommon for a graduate who graduated from school in previous years to want to pass the state certification. This is good, because it is never too late to get a diploma of higher education. In this part of the material, we will talk about the intricacies of passing the exam by a graduate of past years.

Passing the Unified State Examination for a former graduate has a peculiarity - you do not have to take compulsory subjects, except in cases where mathematics and Russian are needed for enrollment in the chosen specialty.

Graduates of previous years pass the exam ahead of schedule or along with the main wave. To do this, an application is submitted in advance to the municipal education authority for passing an exam indicating the main and additional disciplines, a passport and a certificate.

Apart from personal information if he studied for a long time, the application indicates the name of the completed educational institution, details, form of study and the date of receipt of the diploma. Graduates from other countries who wish to continue their studies at a Russian university present a foreign passport, the original document of education with a certified translation from foreign language.

To obtain admission to the final certification, write an essay. This innovation does not apply to graduates of previous years. The work is written exclusively at will. However, some universities, upon admission, give several points for an essay.

Graduates of previous years take the exam at the place of application. If you live in another city, you do not need to return to your hometown in order to obtain a certificate.

In the article, we looked at how to pass the exam if you don’t know anything, gave tips for getting 100 points and answered popular questions. Rational preparation, combined with a positive mental attitude, strong motivation and absolute calmness, will help to get the highest result.

Do not panic, and in the morning before certification, concentrate on moral preparation, and not on skimming through textbooks. Such actions only aggravate the situation.

Go to the exam like a holiday, and good mood will serve as a reliable ally. And remember, passing the exam is the first step in building a successful career. Good luck!

The Unified State Examination, or USE, is a special form of final examination that is held in schools. Based on the test results, graduates enter various schools. An experiment with the introduction of this exam started in 2001. Schoolchildren and teachers have one more headache, and with it the question: “Who invented the USE in Russia?” You will learn the name of this official in our article.

Why introduced the exam

The purpose of this form of examination is considered to reduce the level of corruption in admission to higher education institutions, as well as to increase the possibility of obtaining higher education for graduates. Among teachers, students, as well as their parents, there are heated discussions on the topic of the complexity of passing the test, the unreliability of the results, and so on. Graduates puzzle over who invented the Unified State Examination in Russia, and at the same time they curse the reformer.

in the world

If you think that the USE first appeared in Russia, then you are greatly mistaken. World education has been familiar with this form of examination for more than 50 years. But before dealing with the question of who invented the Unified State Examination and the OGE in our country, let's study the world practice.

The first such exam was held in France in the 1960s. At this time, the African colonies of the independent French state gained independence, so many visitors from Africa appeared in the country of gourmets. It is easy to guess that the level of their education was very low. But the children of traveling parents needed to learn. French officials have done everything to simplify the examination system for migrants. They introduced test questions.

Thus, the final exam was combined with entrance examinations to higher educational institutions.

Unlike the Russians, the French began to hold serious protests. They reported to the authorities that this form of examination would "stupefy" the nation. The fight was short lived.

After 3 years, the French authorities evaluated the results of the reform and were forced to abandon the innovation. Despite the French experience, such testing systems have taken root in the United States of America. It is believed that it is practical, so the practice of "2 exams in 1" is used in many countries around the world. Now you know who invented the exam for the first time.

Russian experience

Before the USE was introduced in schools, experiments were conducted in some gymnasiums and lyceums, where graduates voluntarily took tests. To the question of who invented the Unified State Examination and the GIA in Russia, many mistakenly answer: Aleksandrovich. But this is far from true.

The creator of the Unified State Examination in Russia is considered to be an official who served as Minister of Education from 1998 to 2004. His name won't tell you much. This minister set in motion a large-scale reform of Russian education. What did it include? First, he added Russian Federation to which higher education divided into graduate and bachelor's degrees. Secondly, he created and introduced new educational standards. He believed that the introduction of the Unified State Exam would put an end to corruption in educational institutions, as well as create an effective and high-quality test of the level of knowledge of graduates - after all, the five-point assessment system has long outlived itself.

To the question: “Who invented the USE in Russia?” - there is an unambiguous answer: Filippov Vladimir Mikhailovich. He believed that the test form of the exam would cope with these problems. In one of his interviews, Filippov argued that one can enter elite universities in Moscow and St. Petersburg through tutoring, paid courses, or targeted admission, which is practiced in the two capitals of our state.

In 1999, the Federal Testing Center was opened under the Ministry of Education and Science. The task of this center is to develop testing systems in the state, as well as to control the quality of knowledge of pupils and students in educational institutions.

Now you know who invented the Unified State Examination, but life did not become easier from this. Let's find out the opinion of the President of the Russian Federation on this form of the exam.

What the president says

Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin knew who invented the USE and GIA. And repeatedly noted that the exam has both minuses and pluses. He said that thanks to the special form of the final exam, the number of applicants who enter the leading universities of our state by passing the test has increased several times.

In other words, the president recognizes a shortcoming on the part of the state, but nevertheless considers this measure effective in the fight against corruption and in increasing the availability of education for graduates from the regions.

Who can take the exam

Agree that it doesn’t matter at all to know who invented the USE. It is important to know who is eligible to take a special exam. All students of the eleventh grade, admitted by teachers, have the right to participate in the state exam.

Students in colleges, technical schools, as well as high school graduates who have ever taken an exam, but consider the results unsatisfactory, have the right to be tested.

Students of the eleventh grade with disabilities can avoid the exam. To do this, they need to present a certificate of disability.

Graduates of schools of the penitentiary system, as well as children with deviant behavior, have the right to take the final exam in the traditional form.

When is the exam

The USE is held in Russia according to the general schedule. It is compiled by the Ministry of Education and Science. Practice has shown that the wave of passing the exam begins in the second half of May and ends in June. You can take the exam early. To do this, you must apply to the administration of the school or college, then you will be able to take the test in April.

Control and measuring materials

This long phrase denotes a test, otherwise they are called KIMS. Their development belongs to the Federal Institute for Educational Research. Every year, FIPI uploads demo versions of control materials for each type of subject to the network. As a rule, KIMs have three parts.

Evaluation of results

The one who invented the Unified State Examination, namely, introduced a 100-point system for assessing knowledge on the exam. The evaluation process is carried out in two stages. The first one determines the number of primary points. The amount is determined by adding up the points received for each question. Such data can be found on the FIPI website. Download the demo version of the desired item. Open the folder, and then study the document called "Specification".

At the second stage, the compilers of KIMs convert the primary scores into test scores. There are 100 of them in total. It is the test scores that the graduate sees in his certificate of passing the exam.

Problems

As a rule, examinees do not experience any problems during the exam. Of course, no one has yet managed to completely get rid of excitement. But it should be noted that the atmosphere at the exam is calm and unfussy. It doesn’t matter at all to know who invented the USE. It is important to have knowledge of the subject in your head, and then not a single exam will be scary!

Most often, problems arise with the organizers of the exam. Every year there is a leak of answers to the Internet. There were cases when they were posted in in social networks. For several years, the administration of the popular VKontakte website has been cooperating with Rosobrnadzor. Now VK is under surveillance. Suspicious documents are blocked during distribution.

Now you know the name of the official who introduced the exam. However, this is far from the most important information which is required by the graduate of the school. Study and prepare in time to successfully pass the upcoming exams!

Every loving parent wants the best for their child. Just now the child was small - and now he has grown up and is taking the exam. And this is the moment of transition between school and adult life.

How can adults help their children - applicants?
First of all, parents are very different. And they all relate very differently to the exam and admission.

There are parents - controllers and critics.
It's hard for kids to deal with them. The critical parent is always unhappy. “When I was your age, I cracked such tasks as nuts,” they say.

There are many such parents in our country. According to statistics, Russian parents most often say three phrases to high school students:
1) “Well, you idiot, have you come down?”
2) “And who are you born into!”
3) “You still kiss his ass, your cat!” :-)

Well, why is this? Why criticism and dissatisfaction? If you love a cat, that's great! Born in you, not in anyone else. And he didn’t “roll” anywhere, he generally has his whole life ahead of him!

Children expect from us, adults, understanding and support! Not sarcasm, not criticism, not comparison with "neighborly Vasya." And definitely not a hail of questions:
- Have you had lunch?
- Have you done your homework?
- Didn't? Why?
- How are you going to pass the exam?
- You won’t pass the exam, what then?
All these questions only hinder mutual understanding.
The worst thing to communicate with teenagers can be the formal question “How are you?” Of course, they will answer: "Normal." Although it can be very difficult for them at this moment!

Being a teenager is hard in general. They don't have as many achievements as we do. There is no such certainty. They want to be adults and they want everything to work out for them.

Let's not forget that the exam in each subject contains a huge number of tasks. We can say that the exam is "two in one". And the final exam for the course of a comprehensive school, and the entrance exam to the university. And to complete all tasks, only 3 hours and 55 minutes are given. And when we entered, we solved 5-6 problems in 4 hours!

There are hyper-caring parents who try to protect children from any difficulties. Even when the child is a whole head taller than the mother, they want to take care of him, to be near, to help. They habitually refer to themselves and their son or daughter as "We". "We are passing the exam." Is it good?

Such parents are ready to pull the “child” until he has his own children. “Don’t worry, if you don’t pass the exam, you will go to the paid one. We will pay for you! If you don't pass the session, we'll pay too! And then we'll take it to work! We'll buy you an apartment! And then the children either lose all motivation, or there is a protest “Don’t, I’m on my own!”

Dear Parents! Children at the age of 16-17 are already quite adults. They really need both understanding and support, but not at all the support that a two-year-old baby needs. School grades are their responsibility! Try to understand: what words of support do they expect from you?

There are parents who are so busy with their lives that they have almost lost contact with their children.
Such parents choose USE courses not for the quality of education, but only in order to put a “tick”. “So, I bought notebooks. I chose courses for him. University chose. Now let him study!”

It doesn’t even occur to them to establish spiritual, human contact.

Such surveys were conducted: schoolchildren were asked how they would like to spend the next weekend? Social media or with parents? Most said: “I would like to be with my parents, but my parents are on social networks or are generally busy with something else.”

And therefore, it is not necessary to arrange an interrogation for a 16-year-old son or daughter about the grade for presentation. Evaluation can have at least some value, not in itself, but as an indicator of more important things. Literacy, culture of speech, the ability to formulate one's thoughts. These are quite complex skills. Emotional criticism will not help their development in any way.

Is it worth it to prepare your children for the exam? As a rule, parents quickly lose patience, and children eventually dodge such “activities”. It is much better if the teacher of the USE courses or a professional tutor will prepare for the exam.

The best thing you can do is to find an interesting format of communication for yourself and your children. You can just talk. Watch a good movie. Go hiking together in the mountains. After all, the children will soon grow up and will no longer travel with you! Appreciate this wonderful moment while you are together! If necessary, listen. It is very important for a high school student when an adult speaks - or does not even speak, but shows him with all his behavior: “ I am your oldest friend, if anything - I will come to your aid. We are with you together. I trust you, I'm proud of you."

And the exam will give up and will not go anywhere. The main thing is a reasonable approach:
- Entrust the preparation for the exam to professionals,
- Look for USE courses or a tutor that provide real knowledge. After all, we study not in order to pass the exam, but in order to become an educated person!
- Consider the preparation for the exam as training in achieving the goal - and not as a "horror story",
- To understand that it is difficult for a high school student, to love, understand and support him,
- Give your son or daughter the right to be independent. Homework and grades are their responsibility, not yours!
- Think about alternate options. What happens if you suddenly do not pass the exam? It's not the end of the world, is it?

And of course, remember that the exam is only a small stage in life. The importance of the exam should not be overestimated. This is just one step. There will be many, many more steps like this! You can treat the exam simply and constructively: there is a task that needs to be solved. You need to find out how many points you need to score to enter a university, to understand whether school knowledge is enough. Most often, it is not enough, and then you need to choose courses or a tutor.

And never doubt: your children love you very much! And they really want you to do well!

Tell your friends!
