Large do-it-yourself paper rose made of corrugated paper, photo. Do-it-yourself growth roses from corrugations Big paper rose

Flowers bring positive emotions into our lives, brightening up dull everyday life. They are suitable for any style of interior. But fresh flowers are sometimes not freely available, and they fade very soon. So why not create artificial corrugated roses with your own hands? And also huge! This room design is insanely spectacular and absolutely affordable!

Unforgettable holiday, decorated with full-grown flowers

Room decoration with giant flowers, among which you feel like Thumbelina, is becoming more and more popular and widespread. Various celebrations, children's parties, themed photo shoots and even just the interior of shops are decorated with huge corrugated paper roses, foma peonies, sunflowers, poppies, etc.

Dreaming of a unique and unique wedding? Create stunning corrugated paper accessories with your own hands that your guests will remember for a long time.

Necessary tools and materials

Before you start working on a corrugated rose, you need to prepare:

  • corrugated paper for a flower (preferably several, close to each other shades, for example, dark pink, pink, light pink or white, cream, very light green);
  • green corrugated paper;
  • balloon;
  • paper napkins;
  • PVA glue;
  • scissors;
  • green teip tape;
  • wire;
  • a metal-plastic tube (1.5-2 cm in diameter) about 2 m long.
  • a hard spherical object, you can take the doll's head.

Making a giant corrugated rose with your own hands: a master class

The first step in our work will be preparing templates for petals of two different shapes. Cut them out of hard cardboard. Now, according to this pattern, we cut out our blanks from corrugated paper, making sure that the corrugation strips run along the petal. The leaves of the flower we have have 2 forms: drops and hearts. Drop-shaped need 8-10 pcs. (4-5 pieces each of the darkest and medium shades), with a heart - 18-20 pieces. (10 pieces of medium shade and the rest are the lightest). Let's put them aside and start building the "receptacle" of our rose.

We inflate the balloon somewhere to the size of your head. We paste over it with paper napkins using the papier-mâché technique, it is better to choose napkins to match the tone of the flower, but you can also take just white ones. We are waiting for the glue to dry. At this time, you can do the stem and leaves.

Leaves are cut out of green corrugated paper in the amount of six pieces, adhering to the natural shape. Lubricate the sheet in the middle with glue and lay the wire. We bend in half along the wire and put it under oppression. We do the same manipulations with all the leaves. After the glue dries, unfold them and wrap the wire 4-5 cm from the sheet with teip tape, twist 3 wires together and also wrap the twist with tape.

The stem of our rose will be made of a metal-plastic pipe. We wrap it with the same tape that was used in the manufacture of the leaves, attaching the cuttings in the right places. We bend the bottom into a ring for stability.

Now back to the ball. We cut the ball of napkins in half, put one half into the other and fasten them together. Let's start to give a natural shape to the corrugated rose petals. Gently stretch the edges to make waves, and form the middle by pulling the petal over the head of the doll prepared in advance.

Let's start creating an inflorescence. We glue the leaves from the center, starting with the narrowest and darkest, continuing in a circle with a slight offset relative to the previous petals and moving on to the middle ones in color. We continue, carefully filling the hemisphere. With the largest and lightest petals, we paste over the base from the outside.

From below we glue a short tube made of cardboard or metal-plastic, which is slightly wider in diameter than the stem. This is necessary so that we can attach the flower head. Paste the bottom with green paper and glue the sepals.

We put the flower on the stem, straighten all the petals and the corrugated paper growth rose is ready!

Paper flower: a quick option

But not everyone has the patience and skill to create such a complex flower. And how to make a big rose from corrugations without spending a lot of time?

There is also a much simpler and faster way. Take red corrugated paper, cut the roll in half. Expand and cut the edges on one side in the form of deep scallops. Take a thick wire or metal-plastic pipe and cover it with green tape. Now begin to wrap a strip of paper with scallops around the "stem", forming a flower. Tie with strong thread. Glue the attachment point with teip tape, adding sepals. Twist the petals with a pencil, slightly stretch in the center. That's all, it turned out to be the simplest corrugated rose to make!

Beautiful roses are always relevant, they decorate our lives and cheer up. I want them to be everywhere, because you can admire their natural grace for a long time. But the beauty of fresh flowers is very short-lived. Another thing is artificial flowers. How to make them? In this master class, I will show 5 options - how to make paper roses with your own hands with step by step photos. Choose what you like and start the creative process!

How to make paper roses with your own hands

01. Yellow crepe paper rose

This tutorial shows how to make such a delicate flower from corrugated paper with your own hands.

For the master class, prepare:

  • yellow (if you want to make just such a shade of a bud) and green corrugated paper;
  • skewer or stick for sushi;
  • scissors;
  • wire;
  • glue;
  • strong thread.

Cut a strip of yellow crepe paper to create a springy bud. Approximate dimensions in width are 8-10 cm. The longer the strip is, the more magnificent the flower will turn out. Much also depends on the stiffness of the material. If the corrugated paper is well stretched, then sheets of a more streamlined shape will be obtained.

Fold the strip across several times. First, you can make a bend in the center, then fold it in half again and so on, it all depends on the length of the strip. At the time of cutting the paper, be guided by the fact that the fibers of the sheets should go along the strip, it must be stretched along.

Cut the strip in this position several times to get shoots about 1 cm wide. Do not forget to make cuts on the sides as well.

Round each portion of the strips after the cuts. Use scissors and make perfectly symmetrical cuts. Now each strip in a fringe with a rounded edge should be turned into a petal.

Expand the strip - in front of you is a fringe with rounded teeth. Stretch each clove with your fingers to the sides. If the corrugated paper fibers are located along the strips, then each petal will stretch well. Be sure to process the paper by stretching on one side, otherwise the petals will be concave in different directions.

Use the prepared stick or skewer as a stem. Lubricate the tip with glue. From the very edge, start winding the prepared fringe around the tip. Attach the tip smeared with glue to the edge, press down.

Wind the entire yellow strip with petals onto a skewer. If necessary, glue can be gradually added. Be sure to fix the end so that the flower does not fall apart.

Now look at the result, whether the bud is dense enough. If one strip is enough for you, then leave the craft in this form.

If you want to add splendor, a few new petals, then repeat the procedure with yellow corrugated paper, make another same strip according to the above method, then turn it into a fringe with rounded petals and glue it with a second layer.

The base of the flower can be wound with threads so that the petals open slightly. Prepare a strip of green fringe, but twist each end at the end with your fingers.

Wind the green fringe at the base of the flower, pushing back the sharp tips. Also wrap the entire stem with green paper.

From wire and oval green leaves, make an additional branch.

Glue the branch to the stem.

LARGE ROSE FROM PAPER OWN HANDS MASTER CLASS

Creating a variety of crafts from a simple square sheet is known as origami. Many paper products can be made using this technique, but flowers are especially interesting. In our master class, step-by-step flower making will be shown.

This will require:

  • square of the desired color;
  • toothpick.

First, we fold our paper square along two diagonals.

Then you need to make another transverse fold in the other direction.

Now you need to fold the workpiece in the form of a double triangle.

The resulting workpiece has two layers - top and bottom. Take the corners from the top and bend them to the middle line.

The corners located on top must be bent down so that the fold is horizontal.

The resulting folds need to be straightened. First, we do this on the left side, gently spreading a small triangle.

After that, he needs to give the shape of a square.

Repeat the same steps on the right side.

We turn the workpiece over and repeat all the steps.

Bend the top corner down, forming the desired folds.

Now we are interested in the lower part of the workpiece. We begin to gently straighten it.

The folds located on the sides need to be given a triangular shape. Let's do it on the left first.

After that, repeat on the right.

Again, turn the flower blank on the other side, the previously bent triangle must be placed strictly vertically. This will be the core of our flower.

We begin to carefully twist the middle.

We continue this action in one direction, so we create the petals.

It remains to twist the edges of the flower a little with a toothpick, our origami paper rose is ready.

03. How to make a beautiful toilet paper rose

The shape of this flower is so mesmerizing that you want to try to recreate it using various materials. Paper is often used to imitate the petals of this flower. In our master class, it is proposed to use colored toilet paper, from which thin rose petals are obtained.

For work you will need:

  • toilet paper (2-ply or 3-ply) of the desired color:
  • scissors;
  • toothpick;
  • glue stick.

On average, one flower leaves about 20 petals. Cutting them out of paper depends on the number of layers. In our case, 2-layer paper was used, we take 5 pieces of it.

We put them together. Then these 5 pieces need to be folded in half.

Cut out the petals.

We get 10 petals, each of which has 2 layers (later we will separate them). We tuck the tip of each petal with a toothpick.

The rest after cutting the petals is not thrown away. Cut out a strip from it.

Let's take one of its layers. Now grease the toothpick with glue and proceed to the formation of the core of the flower.

To do this, we will wind a strip of paper around the tip of the toothpick. It turns out the core of our flower.

Then we separate each of the obtained 10 petals into layers. Apply some glue to the bottom of the thin petal.

And wrap them around the core of the flower. Take the next petal and continue the formation of the flower.

We do this until the paper rose flower is completely ready.

04. Do-it-yourself music paper rose

In this master class, we will make just such a musical rose.

Take music paper.

Download and print. Transfer it to paper and cut it out.

Secure each circle with hot glue.

The petals of the outer circle can be twisted with a toothpick.

Decorate the flower with sparkles.

Music paper rose flower is ready!

05. How to make a rose from paper napkins

The decoration of the festive table largely depends on the reason for the celebration. If this is a children's holiday, then bright colors in the design will be enough, and the dishes can also be paper, but with beautiful drawings. Another thing is if a romantic dinner is planned, in this case it is necessary to create a special atmosphere.

Candles, flowers can be used here, and decor that can be created using serving napkins is also welcome. For example, flowers made from this material will look interesting. Making such a rose from paper napkins is shown in our master class.

To create such a table decor, we will prepare:

  • green and pink paper napkins;
  • scissors;
  • glue stick.

You can use napkins of different colors, but it is important that they have the same size. We will make a pink flower, so we prepared a paper napkin of the appropriate shade. And to create a stem and a leaf, a green napkin is useful. First, fully unfold the green paper napkin.

To make a flower directly, half a pink napkin will be enough for us. So we cut off a part.

Now we put half of this part of the pink napkin under the green one, smearing the junction with glue.

We bend the other half of the pink napkin up, not forgetting to apply glue. So we got a blank of two paper napkins to create a rose.

We begin to twist this blank into a loose tube.

At the end of the work, you can twist the flower weaker to get an imitation of the petals.

Now we begin to tightly twist the green napkin located immediately under the base of the flower.

So we continue to twist about 5-6 cm more. After that, we begin to form a leaf.

To do this, gently fold the lower free corner of the green napkin up.

After that, we continue to tightly twist the napkin again, forming a stem.

Our rose from paper napkins is ready.

The original way to create a flower from corrugated paper

Large peony rose with your own hands

In China, the rose was considered an imperial flower, only the gardeners of the imperial garden had the right to grow it - it was strictly forbidden to everyone else. From China, she came to India: there she was revered as a sacred flower, and many legends were associated with her name. In Japan, this plant did not deserve such love as in other countries, but it was there that the multi-flowered rose grew, which became the basis for breeding new varieties.

Then it became part of the culture of the ancient Greeks - no important ritual events could do without it, whether it was a wedding or a funeral. Along with this, the rose was also studied from a botanical point of view. So, it was Theophrastus, who is often called the father of botany, who described the species of this plant growing in Greece, spoke about its planting and caring for it.

The Romans adopted the respectful attitude to the rose from the Greeks: it was symbolized with morality and purity, besides, it was grown here on an industrial scale. Moreover, in the spring in Rome, even Rosalia (a feast of commemoration of the dead, during which the graves were decorated with wreaths of roses) were held.

But as the empire began to decline, the plant became associated with diametrically opposed concepts - vulgarity and immoderate luxury. After that, during the period of early Christianity, the rose was temporarily forgotten and regained its status only by the 4th century.

It did not come to Western Europe immediately, and it is difficult to call this road easy. So, these flowers were brought to France only in the 5th-6th centuries, in Germany they began to be cultivated only in the 13th century, and in England they appeared even later - the Benedictine monks who came from France in the 15th-16th centuries contributed to the spread.

Rose in myths and traditions of different nations

This flower is inextricably linked with the concept of beauty and the divine principle in the myths of different peoples. So, in Indian mythology, from the blossoming bud of this flower, Lakshmi appeared - the most beautiful girl in the world. She was so beautiful that when he saw her, the god Vishnu fell in love, woke her up with a kiss and made her his wife.

According to another legend, the god Vishnu once argued with Brahma about which flower is the most beautiful in the world. Vishnu, already subdued by her grace, insisted that it was she who deserved the title of the most beautiful; Brahma, who had never seen this flower, preferred the lotus. But as soon as Vishnu showed Brahma a rose, he agreed with him, and the argument was settled.

In Greek mythology, the flower is associated with Aphrodite, the goddess of love. It was believed that it was formed from the sea foam left on the body of the goddess when she emerged from the sea. Once Adonis, beloved of Aphrodite, was mortally wounded by a boar while hunting. Upon learning of this, the goddess rushed to Adonis in tears, not paying attention to the thorns of roses that grew on her path, which had dug into her feet. It was the spilled blood of Aphrodite that dyed the once white flowers scarlet.

However, this is far from the only story about how the rose acquired a red hue. The Persian version is much sadder. This legend tells how the nightingale admired the rose. He fell in love with her with all his heart and decided to press her to his chest, but ran into sharp spikes. The blood of the unfortunate and dyed the petals red.

According to another version, Eve, walking in the Garden of Eden, saw a beautiful snow-white flower; She liked him so much that she could not resist kissing him. The white rose, flattered, we listen to this, blushed with embarrassment - and it remained red.

How to see here.

Paper flowers are nice not only to see, but also to make with your own hands. In addition, they have a couple of advantages over their natural counterparts - they are much more affordable and durable. By the way, having learned how to make flowers with your own hands, you will never be at a loss if you suddenly need:

  • Pack gifts;
  • Decorate the house for the holiday;
  • Festive;
  • Make props for a photo shoot;
  • Make gifts for relatives, friends, colleagues or teachers / caregivers of the child;
  • …or just update the interior.

From this material you will learn how to make flowers with your own hands from corrugated, colored or tissue paper (tissue). You are waiting for 4 step-by-step master classes with pictures and templates, as well as a selection of 70 beautiful photos and useful videos.

Application Ideas

Later we will tell you about the techniques for making flowers from paper, but first we suggest getting inspired by photo examples of their use.

  • Bouquets of paper flowers can not only be placed in vases, but also "planted" in pretty flower pots. To do this, they must first be stuck into the base of foam or floral foam. Next, the base should be decorated with dry moss or small pebbles.
  • Paper flowers in vases, pots or just buds without stems will decorate March 8, Easter, Valentine's Day or a wedding.

Tissue paper flowers

  • How to arrange napkins for a festive table setting? Just place small flowers on top or fold into rings with bright buds.

  • And here is another attribute for the festive table decoration - holders for guest cards.

  • You can decorate the house for a holiday or just like that with such garlands or cascades of flowers.

To make such a do-it-yourself garland of flowers, use the petal blanks (see MK No. 1 below, step 3) and skip the steps for making the stem and pistil

  • Take a sheet of cardboard or canvas on a stretcher, glue the buds to it and frame it. Voila, the panel is ready! It can be hung on the wall or given to a friend.

  • A beautiful photo zone can be ordered from the masters, or you can set aside a couple of days and make it yourself, saving a lot. The second master class provides instructions on how to make large flowers with your own hands.

Photozone with flowers for a child's birthday

  • Large paper flowers can also be made for a photo shoot.

  • Corrugated paper flowers make luxurious wreaths. They can be used as an attribute for a theme party and also for a photo shoot.

  • Even the simplest gift wrapping will become elegant if you decorate it with homemade paper buds (see master class No. 1 and No. 4). In this collection of photo examples, you can get a couple of original ideas.

Master class number 1 - Corrugated paper flowers (basic instructions)

DIY crepe paper flowers can look amazingly believable. Although at some stages of their manufacture you will have to tinker a little, even a beginner will be able to cope with the craft from the very first time.

This collection of photos shows examples of paper flowers that you can make yourself by following our step-by-step master class.

For work you will need:

  • Corrugated paper of the desired shade (for buds);
  • Green crepe paper (for stems, leaves, sepals) and/or crepe paper tape;
  • Floral wire (wire in a green winding, sold in craft stores, on Aliexpress) or wooden skewer / wire / newspaper tube / knitting needle;
  • Scissors;
  • Glue (best hot glue gun);
  • Pencil.

Master Class

Although almost any flowers can be made from corrugated (crepe) paper - from roses to tulips - the principle of their manufacture is approximately the same. The main difficulty is to make the correct petals: give them the desired shape, volume, size, choose the color of the paper, guess the quantity.

  • Following our master class, you will master the basic skills of making flowers from crepe paper and will be able to make roses, peonies, tulips, lilies, daisies, chrysanthemums and dahlias.

STEP 1. So, first we need to make a stem. If you are using flower wire, simply cut it to the desired length: a stem about 30 cm long is suitable for making a bouquet, and 15 cm is enough for, say, a boutonniere.

  • If you do not have a special wire - it does not matter. An excellent stem can be made from a wooden skewer, any flexible wire or newspaper rolled into a thin tube with a knitting needle / skewer. At the last stage, your impromptu stem needs to be wrapped in green corrugated paper (we will talk about this below).

Step 2. Since the pistils and stamens of all flowers are different, and sometimes they are not at all, there are many techniques for making "cores" of artificial flowers.

  • To make a chamomile or daisy, you need the core of a bud in the form of a yellow button. Prick a ball of cotton wool on the stem, then wrap it in a pair of yellow squares cut out of corrugated paper, wrap the base of the “button” with green corrugated tape and, finally, fix the tape with glue.
  • To make a heart for a rose, you need to cut out a 9x9 cm square from colored corrugated paper, fold it into a triangle, then connect the two corners of the triangle to its top. Next, wrap the resulting torch-shaped blank to the top of the stem with green corrugated tape and fix it with glue.

The following photo illustrates blanks for making cores of different colors.

  • Do you want to present a bouquet of flowers as a sweet gift (see photo below)? Use candy as the core! To do this, simply plant it on the top of the stem and secure with tape / paper tape.

Step 3. We proceed to the manufacture of petals and the formation of a bud. This stage is the most important, so it should be given more attention. Depending on what kind of flower you want to make, choose one of the two working methods.

Single petal method (suitable for roses, peonies, lilies and other flowers with few petals)

As the name implies, the method consists in forming a bud one by one, petal by petal.

  1. First of all, a template of the desired shape and size is drawn and cut out (see templates below).
  2. Then the corrugated paper is folded several times, a template is applied to it, the contour of the template is traced with a pencil, and then cut out with scissors. As a result, you will get several blanks at once. Repeat the process several times to get the desired number of petals.

These templates will help you navigate the size, shape, and number of petals. Keep in mind that rose, peony and tulip petals should be approximately 9-11 cm long, and lilies - 13.5-15.5 cm

  1. Next, all the petals need to be given volume and bend: stretch a little and bend inward / outward, if necessary, wrap the tips on a toothpick / skewer (for example, for a rose). To understand exactly what shape you need to give the petals, just look at the photo of a real flower and experiment a little.

Corrugated paper easily stretches, twists and takes a given shape

To make a peony, you will need to make 35 petals and a stem with a button. How to make petals: focusing on the photo, cut out the petals of the desired shape, then slightly stretch them and bend inward, pick up the base of the petals a little. Glue the central petals below, and the rest - higher. When the flower is ready, slightly tuck the tips of the petals inward

To make a rose, use 5 small and 7 large petals (see template above). Round the petals just below the middle, and wind the upper edges on a skewer / toothpick outward. Attach small petals to the core first, and then large ones.

To make a lily, use 5 petals (see template above) and a pistil with stamens from red and white corrugated paper. Fold the petals in half lengthwise to form creases, then unfold them. Curve the petals by turning them outward at their widest point.

Corrugated paper tulips are the easiest to make. Petals will need only six, they need to be slightly rounded, and the tips pleated

  1. When all the petals are ready, start gluing them one by one to the stem, and then on top of each other, following a checkerboard pattern. A hot glue gun works best for this purpose. If there are not too many petals, then instead of glue, you can use the same green corrugated paper tape (see photo).

Tape method (suitable for daisies, daisies, carnations and other "layered" flowers)

The difference of this technique lies in the fact that the petals are not cut out individually, but from a strip of corrugated paper, when the workpiece becomes like a fringe. At the same time, the petals acquire volume and bend (sometimes several layers at the same time) only after the fringe is attached to the stem.

  1. Cut a strip of the desired length and width from corrugated paper, then fold it in several layers and cut out the petals of the desired shape (see template below).

  1. Wrap the resulting fringe tightly around the pestle and secure it with green corrugated tape, tape or glue. If there are too many layers, then so that the bud does not slip out of your hands, the fringe should be cut into several parts.

The central petals of the chrysanthemum need to be wrapped around the pistil quite tightly, the rest are looser and slightly higher.

The carnation is made from three strips (see template). The first strip just needs to be tightly gathered into a bundle and fixed with tape / tape. The second and third strips need to be wrapped around it, holding and aligning the bottom of the bud. Next, the bud is fixed with corrugated tape or glue. At the end, pull the petals outward to give the carnation a rounded shape.

To make a dahlia, start winding the blank just below the pestle, but continue winding the petals, rising higher and higher. Round the petals, twist the tips inward a little and finally pinch the tip of each petal to form a crease.

  1. Give the petals a twist if needed.

  1. Now that the flower is almost ready, it needs to be supplemented with sepals and leaves on the stem. To do this, you need to cut out blanks of leaves in the appropriate quantity, shape and size (focus on photos or templates) and simply stick them in the right places.

  • The sepals are glued under the bud, then they are given a bend and volume.
  • To make leaves for some types of flowers, such as tulips or lilies, simply cut out blanks and glue them to the stem. However, some flowers have leaves with cuttings and they need to be done a little differently. Cut out the leaves (with a little extra for attaching), then glue them to a small piece of wire, wrap the wire in green paper, then glue the stem to the stem. If desired, paper leaves can be replaced with artificial ones.

  1. Hooray, your crepe paper flower is almost ready! It remains only to wrap the entire stem with a strip / ribbon of green corrugation, starting with the sepals and along the way wrapping the place where the leaves are attached. At the beginning and at the end of the stem, the winding must be fixed with glue.
  2. To make your handmade flowers look even more realistic and keep their beauty longer, cover them with melted beeswax and let dry.

To better understand how to make do-it-yourself crepe paper flowers, the following video tutorial will help you.

Master class number 2 - Large crepe paper rose

Large handmade flowers are good for decorating the photo zone, ceilings and walls at holidays (for example, at a wedding or birthday). And they can also be a spectacular props for a photo shoot.

For work you will need:

  • Corrugated paper roll of the desired color 50×200 cm (1 roll/1 flower);
  • A roll of green corrugated paper (for the stem and sepals);
  • A4 paper (you can use office paper);
  • Hot glue gun;
  • Scissors.

How to make big paper flowers:

Step 1. Let's make the stem first. Take a sheet of white A4 paper, put a pencil on the corner, then roll the paper into a tube.

Step 2. Fully unroll the crepe paper roll. First fold it in half, then fold it in half again, then fold it again... is it a rectangle? Now fold it in half to make a square about 25 x 25 cm.

Step 3. Cut the square-folded paper at all folds with scissors. You will get two identical stacks of square sheets, from which we will cut out the petals next.

Step. 4. Fold each stack in half. From the first stack, folded into a rectangle, cut out a shape that looks like half a heart, as shown in the diagram below. From the second stack, cut out the same shape, but smaller.

Unfold the stacks to make petals like this.

Step 5. Twist the tips of the petal with a pencil or pen, and stretch the petal a little and bend inward.

Step 6. Give the petal an even more rounded shape by making two folds in its lower part and fixing them with hot glue.

Step 7. We proceed to the formation of the bud. Roll one of the small petals tightly around the stem.

Step 8. Start gluing the rest of the small petals in a checkerboard pattern. When the small petals run out, continue to grow the bud with large petals. In total, your rose will “overgrow” 15 petals (+1 petal in the center of the bud).

Step 9. Fold a square sheet of green corrugated paper (25 × 25 cm) diagonally to make a triangle, then fold the triangle in half 2 more times. From the resulting multi-layered triangle, starting from the fold line (!), cut out the shape as in the picture below. When you straighten the cut-out blank, you will get a quatrefoil.

Step 10. Make a small cross-shaped incision in the center of the quatrefoil (see the figure above), put it on the stem through the resulting hole to the bud, then glue the leaves with hot glue.

Step 11 Hooray, our big rose is almost ready. It remains only to wrap the stem in green paper. To do this, you need to roll it into a roll, then cut off about a 2-centimeter wide piece from it from the edge (that is, in the same way as if you cut a piece from a roll). Now dissolve the resulting tape and wrap the stem with it, fixing the upper and lower ends with glue.

From the following video, you will learn how to make large flowers with your own hands from paper.

Master class number 3 - Colored paper hyacinths (suitable for children's creativity)

These hyacinths look like they were made by a quilling expert. In fact, even a child can make such paper flowers with his own hands! Making the first hyacinth will take some time, but you will spend no more than 5 minutes on each subsequent flower.

To make such a bouquet of flowers with your own hands, you will need a little more than half an hour.

To make paper flowers you will need:

  • Colored paper or not too thick cardboard (for buds);
  • Green paper (for stems);
  • Scissors;
  • Ruler;
  • Pencil;
  • Glue stick;
  • Knitting needle or wooden skewer.

Master Class

Step 1. Cut out a strip about 21 x 2.5 cm. If you are using A4 color paper/cardboard, then you just need to cut the sheet across.

Step 2. Stepping back from the top edge of 1 cm, draw a line along the strip with a pencil using a ruler. Next, using scissors, cut your workpiece into strips about 5-7 mm wide, not reaching the previously drawn line. You will get something like a ribbon with a fringe. Try to cut the paper into strips that are even and parallel to each other, but do not worry about mistakes, because they will not be noticeable when folded.

Step 3. Using a knitting needle or wooden skewer, carefully roll each strip into a roll until it stops. Make sure the pencil line is on the back of the paper.

Step 4 Now let's take care of the stem. From green paper (cardboard will not work!) Cut a strip of 21 × 2.5 cm.

  • By the way, if you want to save time, then just use green straws as stems.

Step 5. Twist one of the corners of your strip diagonally, then lightly go over the entire strip with a glue stick (see photo) and, finally, roll the entire strip into a thin tube.

When you're done, it will look something like this:

Step 6 Now it's time to roll up the bud and glue it to the stem. To do this, take the bud blank again (a strip with curls) and grease its base from the wrong side with glue.

When unfolded, your blank should have 3-4 leaves and look something like in the photo.

Step 8. Lubricate the lower part of the leaves with glue and place its corner about 5 cm below the bud and at an angle, as shown in the photo below. Next, wrap the workpiece tightly around the stem.

Well, that's it, the hyacinth is ready! Repeat the process using different shades of paper to make a bouquet of paper flowers.

Do-it-yourself bouquet of paper flowers

Master class number 4 - Paper roses (express method)

This master class will come in handy when you need to make flowers with your own hands super-fast, easy, budget and in large quantities.

For work you will need:

  • Any pretty paper (even book pages will do);
  • Green paper for leaves;
  • Glue (best hot glue);
  • Scissors;
  • Pencil.
  • Wooden skewers (required if you want to make a bouquet).

How to make paper roses:

Step 1. Cut out a square sheet of paper approximately 12x12 cm.

Step 2. Draw a circle on your square and then draw a spiral inside it. It does not have to be flawless for the roses to be textured. If you wish, you can even make it wavy, then the rose will have pronounced petals.

Step 3. Cut out your circle, then cut the workpiece along the spiral line. As a result, you will get something like a spring.

Step 4. Take the outer end of your spring, roll it up (loosely), then begin to twist the entire ribbon around it. Hold the flower underneath to keep the paper from unraveling.

Step 5. When you get to the base (the inside of the workpiece), glue the bud to it with a sufficient amount of glue. Voila, the first flower is ready!

Step 6. If desired, the rose can be supplemented with leaves. They are cut out of any shape and glued.

Step 7. If you want to make a bouquet, then glue the buds on skewers or a newspaper / paper tube. It is advisable to wrap the stems in green paper tape.
