Like all legumes, we boil it in a little water, constantly adding a new portion of water - about 1 glass of water for half a glass (100 g) of red lentils. Cook until tender, about 20 minutes.
2. Remove the lentils from heat and add half the oil and salt.
3. Turn lentils into puree using a blender.
4. While the lentils are cooling, we will deal with the nuts. They just need to be turned into flour using a blender or coffee grinder. Of course, if you want small inclusions of nuts in the paste (which is also very interesting and unusual), then you can grind them not very finely.
5. Grate the carrots on a coarse (or fine) grater and fry in the remaining oil until tender. Add spices at the end. We fry for about a minute more so that the spices have time to open.
6. Now you just need to mix all the ingredients for the pate. So, immerse lentil puree, spiced carrots and previously chopped nuts in a blender. We bring the pate to the desired consistency. That's it, our lentil pate is ready! It can be served immediately, or you can put it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours and then it will become a little denser. Soup preparation:
