Working with a trainer for six months did not bring any tangible effect. I ate pounds of protein and pounded in the gym like crazy 5 days a week, and at the exit I had only slightly swollen wreaths on my biceps. And the trainers kept repeating (and, by the way, they still continue to do this) that after training you MUST drink a protein shake, increasing and increasing the dose. It is not clear whether they have problems with understanding the physiological processes, or the existing advertising presses on the brain, but it is with such advice that they lead people away from the truth.

After a year and a half of "unsuccessful" fitness, I began to gradually add animal proteins to my diet and increase its calorie content in general. My body responded with a 10 kg jump in body weight. Including fatty. I realized that training is not enough, you also need to eat well. But what does "good" mean? All the coaches advised to eat more, but no one could clearly answer the questions: “How much exactly? How often? What exactly?" Perhaps I have come across bad coaches, or maybe I myself have not heard or understood something. The only thing I did was eat more protein. Then there were no thoughts about any containers with food for the whole day: I considered this to be the lot of stupid jocks and was sure that I could grow the mass anyway. Then no one explained to me that in building muscles, it turns out, not just carbohydrates and proteins, which are fed to us by protein producers, play a huge role, but a rational balance of both.

In general, the treacherous thought began to creep into my brain that "meat" (that is, muscles) needs meat. I gradually began to moderate my vegetarian diet and returned to a full diet a couple of years later. During these two years, I tried a lot of all kinds of "accelerators" and "helpers" of growth, legal and not so, read a lot of literature on nutrition, training and everything connected with it.

I realized that 90 percent of my knowledge about this was made up of massive prejudices imposed on me from the outside and having nothing to do with reality.
