To practice magic effectively, one must develop the ability to concentrate attention until the mind learns to enter a trance-like state. This practice is done in several stages: absolute stillness of the body, regulation of the breath, suspension of thoughts, concentration on the sound, concentration on the object, and concentration on the mental image.
1. Immobility
Get into a comfortable body position and try to stay in that position for as long as possible. Try not to blink or move any part of your body, including your tongue, fingers, etc. Don't let your mind wander off into long strings of thoughts, rather watch yourself passively. It may turn out that a comfortable position will become uncomfortable over time, but be persistent. Set aside some time for daily practice and take advantage of any idleness that arises. Record the results in a magical diary. You should not be content with less than five minutes. When you reach 15 minutes, move on to breathing practices.
2. Breath
Stay as still as possible and begin to slowly deepen and slow your breathing. The aim is to use the capacity of the lungs, but without any undue muscular effort or tension. In order to increase the time of the respiratory cycle, it is necessary to leave the lungs full and empty for a while between inhalation and exhalation. One more important note is that the mind must be fully concentrated on the processes of inhalation and exhalation. When you can do this for 30 minutes, move on to stopping your thoughts.
3. Stopping thoughts
Stillness and breathing exercises may improve health, but they have no intrinsic value apart from preparing for thought-stopping, the foundation of magical trance states. When you are still and breathing deeply, begin to withdraw your consciousness from any thoughts that come up. Attempting to do so inevitably plunges consciousness into a raging storm of activity. Only the greatest determination can win just a few seconds of mental silence, but even that is a triumph. Strive for complete control over the thoughts that arise, and try to increase the period of complete silence. Like physical stillness, mental stillness should be practiced at set times, and during any period of idleness. The results should be recorded in a diary.
4. Magical trances
Magic is the science and art of making changes according to one's will. This will can only become magically effective when the mind is focused and does not interfere with the will. First of all, the mind must be self-disciplined in order to be able to focus all its attention on some meaningless phenomenon. If an attempt is made to focus on some form of desire, the effect often revolves around a desire for a result. Self-centered identification; fear of failure; inducing desire, directed - due to our dual nature - to not achieve the desired - all this nullifies our efforts and does not allow us to achieve a result. So when you choose objects to focus on, don't choose those that carry spiritual, intellectual, emotional, or desire-related meaning - choose meaningless things.
5. Focus on the object
The legends of the evil eye have their origin in the ability of sorcerers and wizards to make their eyes look dead and fixed. This ability should be practiced on any object - a mark on a wall, a distant object, a star in the sky - anything. Keeping an object with a perfectly clear, unmoving gaze for more than a few minutes is quite difficult, despite the fact that it can be done for several hours in a row. Any attempt by the eye to move away from the object, any attempt by the mind to think of anything else must be stopped. It is often possible to extract occult secrets from things with this technique, but the ability to do so must be developed on meaningless objects.
6. Focus on sound
The part of the mind in which verbalized thoughts arise can be brought under magical control by concentrating on sounds that can be mentally uttered. For this, any simple set of sounds can be chosen, for example, "AUM" or "OM", "ABRAHADABRA", "YOD HE WOW HE", "OM MANI PADME HUM", "ZAZAS ZAZAS NASATANADA ZAZAS". The selected sound is repeated in the mind constantly to block all other thoughts. No matter how inappropriate the choice of sound may seem, you must persevere in repeating it. Sometimes the sound may start repeating on its own, and may even put the practitioner to sleep. These are encouraging signs. Concentration on sound is key to using words of power, and some forms of spellcasting.
7. Concentration on the image
The part of the mind in which imaginative thoughts arise can be brought under magical control by concentrating on the image. Selected simple figure, such as triangle, circle, square, cross, and crescent, and is held by the mental sight, without distortion, for as long as possible. 8. Metamorphoses
The transmutation of mind into magical consciousness is often called the Great Work. It has far-reaching aims, and may even lead to the discovery of the True Will. Even a small ability to change oneself is more valuable than any ability to change the outer universe. Metamorphosis is an exercise in volitional reorganization of the mind. All attempts to reorganize the mind contain a duality between the present state and the desired state. A necessary condition for the development magical abilities is the ability to enter an altered state of consciousness (and also exit it). To do this, you need to learn how to change the rhythms of the brain, which are closely related to the processes taking place in our minds. Here are the main of these rhythms (scientists define their boundaries in different ways, but, in principle, this is of great importance does not have).

Our tasks include not only reaching alpha, but also deepening this state, prolonging the time of staying in it and, most importantly, learning to apply it in practice. Over time, you will be able to reach the level of theta rhythm, which greatly expands the possibilities in the field of extrasensory perception. Before starting classes to achieve an altered state of consciousness, I recommend remembering safety precautions.

Rules for conducting classes to enter the alpha state:

  • We turn off the phone and ask the family not to interfere.

Ways to achieve the alpha state

1 way to enter the alpha state according to Hewitt

William Hewitt is the author of The Secret Possibilities of Your Mind. To master the entrance to the alpha state, you need the ability to visualize and enter a state of complete rest. Close your eyes, relax. Visualize a spiral staircase with ten steps leading down. Go down one step and mentally say: "A deeper level of consciousness." Continue down the stairs, repeating these words on each of them.

To many of our ancestors, the rainbow was a magical bridge leading to other planes of existence. Indeed, these seven colors have a great influence on the conscious (and subconscious), and the ability to use them opens the way to new possibilities ... One of them is access to the alpha level.

The following phrases (most of which are taken from Douglas Monroe's 21 Lessons of Merlin) are a list of the colors of the rainbow that will lead you down steps to alpha. You will have to learn them by heart, so that later you do not get distracted and do not start all over again.

  • I am a scarlet fire in the night.
  • I am an orange pumpkin in a field.
  • I am the yellow ray of the sun.
  • I am a green ancient forest.
  • I am the blue spring sky.
  • I am the blue lake in the plain.
  • I am the purple depth of the sea.

Close your eyes and relax. As you repeat each of the phrases, focus on the image that appears before your inner eye. You should not just see a fire or a lake, but feel like it, merge with the color embodied in it. Druids used similar techniques in their practice. (Perhaps it will be more convenient for someone not to repeat phrases, but simply to imagine the images mentioned in them.)

If you wish, you can make up your own statements for entering alpha - the main thing is that the rainbow color sequence is reversed and that the images you use are associated with peace and tranquility, and not with anything distracting. To exit the alpha, you will need to go through the same phrases in reverse order. (In extreme cases, just open your eyes.)

Simplified way to enter alpha state

Visualizing only the colors of the rainbow, without an accompanying image and getting used to it, will help you enter the alpha state. True, it is better to apply it after mastering the full version. Of course, later, when the alpha is well worked out, you will not need to close your eyes, and also specifically find time and place for training (in fact, this will no longer be training, but quite a common practice). In time, deeper levels of consciousness can also be reached. True, you should not make this an end in itself - the main thing is not what level you are able to reach, but what you can do on it.

Why enter the alpha state

We have already studied the entrance to the alpha - now about why we actually need it. Let's put it this way: the alpha level gives access to the conscious control of subconscious processes. This includes both the usual control of body functions, and dealing with ingrained habits (conditioned reflexes, being well learned, also go into the subconscious), and receiving information in the form of sudden insights, and a clear recall of the past ...

Changing the objective world ... In general, the most that neither is the normal state of the magician-psychic-bioenergetics. You can change yourself through alpha in any direction - both psychologically (which is easier) and physically (which takes longer, but also works). Of course, the bigger the change, the more effort and time it will take. All energy work is done in alpha. One of the simplest techniques is the "Alarm clock".

"Alarm"

Before going to bed (in alpha, of course), visualize an alarm clock, set the time you want to wake up in the morning, and imagine how it falls into the depths of the brain. After a little training (as well as other things), this method works almost one hundred percent, but for starters, still play it safe with a real alarm clock.

Getting information in alpha state

The method works best in a semi-drowsy state (before going to bed or immediately after waking up). Enter alpha and ask a question - just like that, into space. The answer will come either in the form of a dream, or it will suddenly “hit” your head, or it will manifest itself in the form of some kind of sign from the outside world ... (we will talk more about signs a little later). In any case, when he comes, you will understand that this is him.

For some, this method works better if you imagine that you are connected to a luminous pillar - a stream of information that permeates the whole world. Or - the technique of shamanic travel - while in the alpha state, you can imagine some kind of helper being and ask him.

Treatment in alpha

Here are some of the many techniques used for self-healing. The essence of one of them is to remember your feelings of health and get used to them, thus activating those resources of the body that are responsible for recovery. It's called "the image of health." That is, in order to recover, for example, from a cold, you need to plunge into alpha, remember the state that was before the illness, feel it as clearly and in all details as possible, and then “put it on” on your current self. And don't forget to update it from time to time.

It may be more difficult to deal with diseases that have appeared a long time ago, but in this case you need to show more patience and get to the bottom of your feelings five, ten or twenty years ago. It may take more than one lesson, but the result is worth it. You can be treated with fantasy: imagine a diseased organ and “remake” it into a normal form. We saw, for example, a diseased kidney that turned red - “repaint” it in a normal color; if it looks enlarged - reduce to the required size and so on. And about what color and shape are normal, you can ask your subconscious mind by tuning in to the organ that bothers you, or find out using one of the above methods of obtaining information. If you are not sure that you understood correctly - try again, and again, until you know exactly what to strive for.

Often there is almost no effect from one time, or it is transient, so it is better to repeat the treatment, and more than once. In general, self-healing is a rather interesting and multifaceted thing, sometimes requiring a lot of practice in an altered state of consciousness. In the meantime, do not forget that self-treatment should in no case replace consultation with a doctor and taking medication.

Building relationships with people at the alpha level

There are situations when it is not possible to reach understanding with someone in the conditions of ordinary communication. Then you can enter the alpha state and imagine in front of you the person with whom you would like to establish a relationship. Explain to him how you see the current situation, what drives your actions in it. Ask why he behaves the way he did, how you could offend him at one time and what you could do to improve the relationship.

If this person interferes with something, annoys - ask him to leave you alone. (By the way, in these cases, you should try to see something good in him that evokes sympathy, and remember this in subsequent communication with him.) Depending on the situation and your skills in working in alpha, this method may require lengthy training, or it may give result and the first or second time.

Alpha training

If you are learning something, then in order for this process to proceed faster and more efficiently, it can be transferred to alpha. For example, you are learning to drive a car. Enter the alpha and imagine the driving process very clearly: everything is going great, you can easily cope with all the obstacles that previously caused difficulties, you feel confident and at ease.

If you like, you can also use reinforcing statements like, "I drive very well." You need to train every day for several weeks for 10-15 minutes (or more if you want). In the process of training, pay attention not only to the purely mechanical side of visualization, but also to the sensations that arise in this case - try to remember them and later call them up while driving.

Foresight at the alpha level

The technique of the alpha state is approximately the same as when receiving information: send a request which of the scenarios is the most likely (keep in mind that the first thought is correct in the vast majority of cases). Or, as you enter alpha, you let the events play out in your mind's eye. And in order to avoid distortions, before that you need to get rid of all thoughts and emotions. (Of course, the ability to foresee the future needs to be developed and honed; at first, failures are possible.)

Instruction

At the first stage, it is necessary to physiologically plunge into a state of peace and quiet. After that, you should enter a more psychological phase of inner silence. This means that you move away from everything that could occupy your thoughts. The bustle of the mortal world ceases to overwhelm you. It is best to isolate from memory a certain image that carries a feeling of undisturbed serene relaxation. These can be pleasant memories, abstract moments, or specific emotions associated, for example, with a calm relaxing melody, a light, unobtrusive aroma, and the like.

Don't try to stop thought processes, because it will cause the opposite relaxation of the reaction. The point is not to suspend thoughts, trying to analyze them, marking them with plus or minus signs. Let them just flow smoothly in your head, turning into a stream of flowing consciousness. Due to all of the above, you will be able to make the transition from gross materiality to a much more refined vision of the world as such.

The first stage of the second phase involves searching in the back streets of the soul (in a state of inner silence) for something most attractive. Do not try to classify or comprehend it, just isolate it from the stream of other and less significant things. After making sure that it is the most suitable, begin to gently envelop it with layers of thought forms. You have to come to the point where you can understand exactly what this sensation is. As soon as the thought form is finally formulated, you will immediately feel a global internal resonance in the form of an incomprehensible harmony between the chosen sensation and its interpretation.

The next step is to define faith. You can get away with the opposite. Imagine something completely untrustworthy. And then try to derive something opposite from this emotion. It is necessary to consider the mechanism of "belief" in the context of a change in the state of consciousness.

The fourth step involves a combination of the previous three, including aspects specific to each of them. You should act measuredly and smoothly, savoring every bit of the psi-space you have recreated. In conditions of absolute focus on the chosen object, you will notice that your concentration moves into some non-identical space. Don't pay attention to detail, just give yourself completely to the stream of consciousness. If there is some psychological discomfort or a feeling of fear, loosen your concentration a little, being distracted by something incidental or belonging to the physical world. This will allow you to slightly slow down the entry into the altered consciousness, making it possible to gradually get used to the ongoing changes.

"! Today we will learn how to enter an altered state of consciousness, or alpha state, and learn how to do it in 10 seconds. My record for entering the alpha state is 7 seconds, and in a deep state (2-3 seconds to relax, the same amount to enter the usual alpha and then a couple of seconds into a deep state of altered consciousness).

Then we will move on to practice theta state, although it is possible that you will fall into this state already in the first technique.

The alpha state of the brain allows the body to quickly rest, enter into deep meditation, receive answers from the subconscious, and effectively reprogram destructive programs. In this state, it is recommended to work with visualizations, affirmations and other techniques.

To begin with, you just need to learn how to enter an altered state of consciousness, and then reduce this time to a minimum (10-15 seconds or less). I entered this state in 7 seconds when I was in a calm state.

I'll tell you briefly about the frequencies of the brain for those who do not know what I'm talking about. The frequency of the brain is waves with a frequency of approximately 0.5 to 40 cycles per second or 1.5 to 40 Hz. From this frequency depends on what state we are in, awake, sleepy or deep sleep.

The lower the frequency or less, the closer the state of a person becomes to sleep. The higher the frequency, the faster and more active our brain works.

Do not confuse the frequency of the brain with the frequency of a person. These are completely different systems.

Conventionally, the frequencies of the brain were divided into 5 parts. The brain emits gamma, beta, alpha, theta and delta waves. Now let's take a closer look at each wave.

gamma waves are the fastest. Their frequency is 30-45 Hz. These waves are generated by the brain in both hemispheres. Consciousness at this frequency works at its maximum. It is believed that these waves begin to be produced when a person needs to simultaneously work with different types information and at the same time link them together as quickly as possible. With a decrease in gamma waves, a decrease in memorization abilities begins.

betta waves generated by the left hemisphere of the human brain. Their frequency is from 14 to 30 Hz. They are responsible for logical thinking, concentration, decision making. Betta waves provide an opportunity to actively act in society. They speed up the work of the brain, as well as increase the processing and assimilation of information. They also enhance the overall energy of the body, excite nervous system, remove drowsiness and sharpen the senses.

Alpha waves. It is with them that we will work today. When you start to relax with your eyes closed and at the same time various images begin to appear in your mind, your imagination begins to work actively, alpha waves appear. Their frequency is from 7 to 14 Hz. Alpha waves are generated by the right hemisphere of the brain.

When an adult is in a relaxed and comfortable state and at the same time he maintains conscious activity, a sufficient number of alpha waves are produced. In fact, this is the state before falling asleep.

At this frequency, a person can effectively cope with the tasks assigned to him. Alpha waves greatly enhance the ability to perceive a large amount of information, develop abstract thinking, and help self-control. Also at this frequency it is good to remove stress, nervous tension and anxiety.

Alpha waves help connect the conscious to the subconscious (or soul). At this frequency, the so-called hormones of joy are produced, which help reduce pain and are responsible for a positive outlook on life, happiness, joy and relaxation.

Theta waves bring the body into a state of deep relaxation. This is a state of drowsiness where dreams can be. Their frequency is from 4 to 7 Hz. If you master the conscious entry into this frequency and conscious stay there, the solution of many issues will be much easier. I have not mastered this state yet. Alpha is enough for me for now.

In theta rhythm after heavy loads, the body can quickly recover. At this frequency, there is a feeling of bliss and peace. Theta waves are generated by the right hemisphere of the brain. They are the boundary between the conscious and the subconscious.

Theta waves contribute to the manifestation of paranormal abilities. They enhance emotions and feelings, also allow you to program and reprogram the subconscious, get rid of negative and limiting thinking. For people involved in self-development, mastering this frequency can be of great benefit.

Delta waves. This rhythm begins to work during deep sleep. In the delta state, the processes of self-healing and self-healing are intensively going on in the body. Delta waves are generated by the right hemisphere of the brain. Their frequency is from 0.5 to 4 Hz.

The altered state of consciousness (ASZ) starts from the alpha frequency and on the border of the alpha and theta waves.

It is at these frequencies that it is good to reprogram the body. The ideal would be to work on theta frequencies, but this is actually a dream and this requires long training.

Now we will learn how to enter a deep alpha state without a computer and special music. In this state, you can recover literally in 10-15 minutes, find solutions to problems, get answers to exciting questions that cannot be answered in the normal state, reconfigure the whole organism, reprogram internal programs and beliefs, tune in to events.

Preparation for practice

You can enter the alpha state while sitting or lying down, whichever is more convenient for you. If you fall asleep quickly in a relaxed state, this technique is best done while sitting. During the first training before entering into altered states of consciousness, there is no need to set any goals. To begin with, you just need to get good at walking into this state. Before class, we remove all annoying factors: turn off the telephone, intercom, close the doors so that relatives do not disturb. Clothing must be loose. If extraneous sounds are still present, put on headphones.

A good time to do this technique is before bed when everyone in the house is calm. The position should be comfortable, arms and legs should not be crossed.

How to enter the alpha state - practice

Close your eyes and do the first count from 3 to 1 as follows. First, a deep breath is taken and as you exhale, mentally pronounce the number 3 three times ( three, three, three) and present the image of the triple in front of the inner screen. Let this image be what you come. Focus on the number. At this time, you relax your body from head to toe.

If you don't know how to relax, first practice relaxing enough to do it in a few seconds. I am not writing about deep relaxation. Enough primary general relaxation.

After that, you need to lie down for a few seconds. Then take a deep breath and as you exhale say the number 2 three times ( two, two, two). All the same. At number 2, you relax your face, cheeks, jaw, back of the head and eyelids. Notice the relaxation of the eyelids. Then lie down for a few seconds or a little longer, as you like.

Then comes the unit. We also say the number 1 3 times, not forgetting the image of the unit. Now we are not relaxing anything, but simply concentrating on one.

Then we lie down for a few seconds and start the second countdown from 10 to 1. Now there is no need to take deep breaths and exhalations. We make everything easy and relaxed. We start with ten. We also mentally pronounce the number 10 and imagine it. After 2-3 breaths on the exhale mentally pronounce the word "deeper" and mentally, as it were, we fall into the depths, into something pleasant, like into a pillow.

If at some number you start to stray, forget what your score is, then you are already in alpha.

This can happen on any number. Once this has happened, no more counting is needed. Feel this state. Active thoughts should not be. If thoughts appear, just watch them as if from the side and they will go away. A large stream of thoughts takes you out of the state of altered consciousness.

If you skipped alpha and fell asleep, it's okay. You just need to practice. If you didn’t get into this state the first time, stay in the state you will be in. It will still be alpha, just not deep.

The state of deep alpha is very pleasant, which is difficult to describe. This is a relaxed state with indescribable depth, it is good and pleasant in it. When you get into deep alpha, you will understand this.

Stay in this state for as long as you want. If time is limited, you can set an alarm with a pleasant melody.

In normal alpha, there is a gap where love and happiness overwhelm you. Just watch this state and go deeper. You can stay in this state if you like, but it is easy to slip through, it is fleeting. I have this state happens within a few seconds. Although this state of love may not exist, we are all different.

Sometimes 10-15 minutes in deep alpha can replace 1-2 hours of sleep.

In altered states of consciousness, various images may appear. Watch them and at the same time remain aware so as not to fall asleep. After a while, watching the images, it may dawn on you, you may understand something that you never understood, an interesting thought or idea may come to you, the necessary information that you have long forgotten may come up in your memory.

Solving Problems with Alpha Brain State

In this trance state, you can tune in to solve the necessary problems and simply observe thoughts and images. After you learn how to enter a deep alpha state, you can master problem solving through this technique. Before practice, tune in to solving the problem you need, otherwise you may not remember it in the alpha itself and dive into the alpha. We found a solution to the problem, immediately exit this state, otherwise you may not remember later.

With the help of an assistant, you can do great things, up to writing books. To solve simple solutions in one answer, it is enough to enter the alpha and watch what is happening there. Received an answer, exited the alpha.

If you need to get a large amount of information, then it is difficult to remember it. In this case, the ideal option would be an assistant. You received a piece of information in alpha, spoke it out loud, and immediately re-entered alpha. The assistant wrote down the information.

A new piece of information came in, it was said aloud again, the assistant wrote it down again, and so on. Thus, you will practically not leave this trance state and dictate information to the assistant. Of course, you can also use a voice recorder for this.

It is very easy to get out of the alpha state. A little effort of will and you are already in betta. When leaving the alpha, try to endure this wonderful state that you will have.

Thus, you will become stronger and happier, you will be less and less affected by stress and problems, you will become more confident person. I prepared some text fragments on this blog using alpha state.

In the first shallow alpha, most people hit the first time. As I wrote in an article about, it takes 21 days to create new skills. I recommend that you start practicing entering an altered state of consciousness for 21 days. Ideally, this should be done 3 times a day for 3 weeks.

When I started learning how to enter a deep alpha state, I practiced 3 times a day and the day came when I entered deep alpha. I immediately felt it and for the sake of interest I looked at the calendar of my classes. And what do you think? It was 21 days of classes. Perhaps this is a coincidence, but it somehow turns out to be natural.

It is very pleasant to do this practice before going to bed. Of course, not everyone has the opportunity to enter this state 3 times a day. If you want to learn a new ability, look for conditions for classes. Do this practice at least once a day, but daily. When you consolidate this skill, daily classes will no longer be needed. In order to enter an altered state of consciousness in 10 seconds, it took me about 2 months of daily practice.

Entry into theta

Very often, when entering alpha, a person falls into the theta state. With experience comes control of these states, but if the previous exercise is not enough for you, continue with this addition:
