It is for such auto travelers that the choice of a vehicle is very important, both in terms of movement (fuel consumption, handling, the ability to leave asphalt roads), and in terms of living in a car, including overnight stays.

The most comfortable vehicles for living are motorhomes. Everything is provided in them: sleeping places, a shower, and a kitchen. You can stop in almost any place you like with a relatively hard road surface and not waste time on equipping your living space. But to start separately (even a used motorhome costs more than 2 million rubles) and to rent such vehicles (from 50,000 rubles per week) is expensive. If this is a single complex, then it should weigh up to 3.5 tons, so as not to expand the category of rights. As an option - comfortable caravans, but their weight usually exceeds 750 kg and you need to get category E. A few more disadvantages of motorhomes are not very high speed movement, the inability to move off-road, the availability of the necessary infrastructure for full service.

If you often have to travel, transport large companies and bulky goods, you can think of a minivan. Most of these vehicles are suitable for daily use and have almost unlimited interior options.

They allow you to cover long distances at a decent speed, can take owners to the beach they like and have enough space for two or even three people to spend the night in comfort. In such cars, the berth is formed from the floor of the luggage compartment and the backs of the second row of seats (the lower parts usually recline to the backs of the front ones). The length of the resulting platform is usually enough for the average person; in extreme cases, you can move the front seats all the way, and fill the empty space with luggage. Most manufacturers strive to make the platform as flat as possible, focusing on creating a comfortable cargo area or as a function of a bed.

If you are not distant relatives of the Princess and the Pea, then you can spend several nights in the salon of ordinary sadens, hatchbacks and compact crossovers. On some of them it is possible to apply the scheme, as on univesals and SUVs, if the back of the rear sofa is reclined. If it is fixed, then you can arrange two berths from the front seats. For this, the seats are moved forward as far as possible, the head restraints are removed from the backrests, which recline to a position flush with the rear seat. It is better to choose the direction taking into account the irregularities: in the area of ​​the body it is better to have the most even platform, and put your feet in places with a difference in height.

If a dream caught you on the road, then you can sleep in a small car. It is extremely rare that there is enough space for a full-fledged sleeping place and you need to choose between two evils, choosing the smaller one. If you have, it is better to sleep in the front seat with the backrest reclined. Pickups should be singled out in a separate category. These utilitarian cars, despite their large size, can be worse than a small car in terms of a place to sleep without special devices. But the tone of any person decreases several times during the day for objective reasons beyond our control. So, if you nod at your desk in the afternoon, this is not at all a sign of promiscuity, but the natural state of the body. Although the fact that the boss finds you peacefully dozing on papers or a keyboard is also nothing good. But also nothing fatal.

What other options are there? Maybe three cups of coffee? Energy drink? Cigarette? God forbid you! One is more harmful than the other! Better to go out into the fresh air (of course, not in a traffic jam and not at night on the highway), or at least open four windows (just not in the rain and snow).

Not the "Grand Hotel", of course, but for the countryside it will do. But in most cases, the "long-range" hangs out here late: smoke with a rocker, a chanson with a mother at full volume. And the girls are not at all "difficult" behavior and not the most attractive appearance catch you in a cafe and knock on the room: "Man-ah, take away the lady a match-ay." In a word, not everyone will be satisfied with this. And this is the third obvious reason.

We decided to compare the convenience of sleeping in a car, models of different classes and, having collected five different cars, "slept" in them. What came out of this can be seen in the photographs. And - calm rest for you!

A couple of important aspects arise when you sleep in a car - warmth and safety.

In our cold climate, in most cases, even the outerwear that is with you does not allow you to feel comfortable in a cold car. Indeed, in a dream, when the muscles relax, the pulse becomes less frequent, we need more heat. And the outside temperature naturally drops at night.

It is good if there is a warm blanket in stock, even better - a sleeping bag, which assumes a normal overnight stay without additional heating of the passenger compartment, even at slight subzero temperatures.

And with significant ones? And without a bag? And here the question arises - whether to start the engine? In the past, all guidelines discouraged this. And if you start, then turn the car with the exhaust pipe in the wind - so as not to get fired up.

Now everything has changed noticeably. The catalysts in the exhaust systems absorb most of the carbon monoxide, the door and trunk seals have become noticeably better, and the chance to sniff (albeit not fatal, but to a headache) has become scanty.

But, again, this applies to modern cars. If your "iron" breathes in incense and was released in the last century, it is still better to make centimeter slots in a pair of windows - so as not to harm your health.

But regarding the safety of the criminal, the advice is obvious: spend the night where you are not alone - at gas stations and at traffic police posts. The probability that "dashing people" will come there is almost zero. But because of this "almost" do not forget to block the central locking from the inside.
