We are currently working on behind-the-scenes optimization improvements. Making these changes comes with some risk, so we need your help testing them.

Starting today, January 16th, you can join a special test on the PTR, where these changes are implemented. Report any issues that occur when players try to start or join a multiplayer game or chat with other players in the game chat.

We invite all players to take part in testing, so hurry up - PTR is waiting!

A few important notes:

  • On this PTR no new content.
  • You will be able to copy existing characters, however we will also increase the chance of finding legendary items by 2000% to encourage players to take part in testing.
  • We would like to remind you that game progress with PTR not transferred to the main account.
  • Since this PTR is being created solely for the purpose of troubleshooting issues related to the issues above, only the bug reporting forum will be open during testing.
  • Performance PTR servers may vary during testing.
  • This PTR will be available for a limited time and we would be very grateful for any help to test it quickly and with as many participants as possible!

We hope that you will take some time to help us. For more information on how to participate in testing, please visit the support page or read below.

Thank you, Nephalem, and see you in Sanctuary!

How to participate in testing

You must have an account attached to your Battle.net account in order to participate in the Public Test Diablo III and that your Battle.net account is not blocked or suspended. You also need to download and install the Battle.net app (if you don't already have it).

1. Log in to your Battle.net account management section and create a separate PTR account. To do this, click on your Diablo III entry and select Create PTR Entry.

If you have ever participated in Diablo III PTR testing (for example, Reaper of Souls beta testing), then you may not see this item. This means that you already have a PTR record and you can skip this step.

2. Once you've created a PTR account, install the app and log into it with your Battle.net account, select Diablo III from the menu on the left.

3. On the Diablo III screen, right above the Play button (or Install if you don't already have the game), there is a drop-down menu. Select "PTR: Diablo III" in it.

4. You will be able to install and run the PTR update

The PTR update supports all languages and accounts from all regions can participate.

Copying characters

You will be able to copy characters from your regular Diablo III entry to a PTR entry - this is done right in the PTR client. But keep in mind that for each entry, you can only copy characters from one region at a time. In other words, if you decide to copy characters from your account in another region, the previous copies will be deleted.

1. Enter the main game, then exit.

3. Click on the "Copy to PTR" button located in the upper right corner (this button will only appear after you create a new level 1 character).

4. Select your region.

5. Click Copy. All characters from your account in the selected region will be copied.

6. You will be disconnected from the PTR client.

7. Re-enter the game. The copied characters will be ready to play.

Please note that you can only copy characters from the same game region at a time. If you choose to copy characters from another region, the previously copied characters in the PTR will be lost. What's more, you can only copy characters to your PTR account once every 24 hours. If you try to retry before this period expires, an error will occur.

This is a test server, so game performance may be unstable, and server restarts and shutdowns may occur without warning.

Your obedient servant finally gathered his strength and installed the World of Warcraft PTR client. You can find instructions for installing and gaining access to test servers. I had to sweat a lot: some obscure patches were downloading all night, which in total amounted to 3GB. At the same time, the client began to weigh 17GB, while a normal WoW client weighs 13GB. Mysteries in the dark...

Considering that the druid is the most mysterious and unknown class for me, I created a druid for myself. When else will there be such an opportunity? =) It turned out quite a pretty elf with the nickname Lissandre. When you copy a character on the PTR, they give you a bunch of goodies. As a druid, I've been given PvE and PvP clothing for three specs, including the legendary "never-fall-and-forever-go-without-roll" trinka Choice of death from IC. As well as a sea of chemistry, blanks for stones and enchants. And even two pumped professions: jewelry and enchanting. I was ready for work and defense.

Actually, I thought I was creating a character on a European server, but it turned out that the server is American: Broxigar. It didn't upset me. Something else upset me - it immediately turned out that I didn’t get into either the events of Gnomeregan and the Echo Island, they were not tested. However, despite all this, the population test servers more than enough. Quite live servers, there is less flooding than on ours, but I can easily explain this by the time difference. While we have a day, in America it is deep night or early morning.

I chose 2 specializations from the druid: the power of the beast and balance. By the power of the beast, he left the glasses anyhow, and therefore ended up in a hybrid PvP-PvE bear-cat spec. In order not to embarrass myself, and also out of pure curiosity, I decided to run in balance. I was very pleased with the shape of the moonkin. It's funny to run with such a miracle with a wildly open mouth =).

Since getting into new content I was not threatened yet, I decided to do a couple of races on the BG. Surprisingly, the average waiting time in line for the BG on the PTR is 1 minute! The queue in the dungeon, however, is not much different from our servers - the damage dealer waits an average of 10 minutes. On BG, I acted as a demoralizer, bursting into a crowd of enemies with a furious hoot and scattering it like a typhoon. For some reason, it was me who was the first to focus =) Probably, this is the form of the owl that works like that! Soon BG got tired, not for that I came to the PTR ...

“By the way, why do people come there at all?” I thought, “since content testing is not available, why are so many people sitting on the test servers?” And here are the conclusions I came to. You should play PTR if:

  • You don't want to spend time pumping, but you want to enjoy the gameplay. For beginners who are just mastering the wonders of Azeroth, PTR did not give up at all. But for those who have already upgraded more than one character and want to try something new, PTR will help. If you want to play for a new class in good equipment - you are welcome!
  • Are you a pvp fan? The minimum waiting time in queues and the availability of almost top-end equipment. Another huge plus is that almost all players are on an equal footing. You can rarely meet things better than starting ones, so hands and the ability to play in a team come to the fore. The behavior of the players in the BG is impressive for its adequacy. They listen to advice! There's almost no! They are being treated!
  • You want to try top PvE content. A lot of raids even at night. I'm afraid to imagine what happens in prime time. Fortunately, the presence of things / enchants / stones creates a normal base for raiding.
  • You don't hold on to game values. Yes, yes, this is very important, because everything that you earn on PTR will be lost. Testing will end - and all your honor, all your epics will disappear, like the character himself.

Impressions from PTR are only positive. I really liked the new chat, although it will not replace addons, but it will make the game more comfortable - that's for sure. Looks like my PTR adventures will continue! After all, I haven't played with wood yet, have I?

A new Overwatch patch is currently in development and now available for testing on the Public Test Region. For information on how to participate and what changes are included in the upcoming patch, read on below.

mission details:

If you encounter any game-related bugs while playing the PTR, please post in the PTR Bug Report forum.

To participate in the public test, you must have an Overwatch game license for Windows PC attached your Battle.net account in good standing (i.e. it hasn"t been suspended or banned).

Q. On which platforms is the PTR available?
A. The PTR is available on Windows PC only.

Q. What regions are eligible to participate in the PTR?
A. Accounts from all regions (excluding China) are eligible to participate; however, the PTR will be hosted on our Americas region. As a result, if you plan to play the PTR from a region outside the US, please anticipate lowered performance and increased latency.

Q. Is there a cap to how many players can participate on the PTR?
A. The PTR can currently support 10k concurrent players (or players logged into the PTR at the same time). If we happen to reach this cap, any new players attempting to log in to the PTR will be placed into a queue.

Q. What languages will be supported on the PTR?
A. The PTR is available in all supported languages, though some content may not be fully localized yet.

Q. Will any account progress from the live game transfer over to the PTR with me, or do I need to start from scratch?
A. A copy of your account from the live game will be transferred over to the PTR automatically, and all progress will transfer over with it (levels, unlocks, stats, etc). Please note that this copy is pre-made, though, and based on an earlier snapshot of your account. As a result, depending on when you last played, your PTR account may not be as up-to-date as your live game account.

Q. Will any progress I make on the PTR transfer over to the live game?
A. No. Any progression earned during the PTR-including levels, achievements, stats, skill ratings, loot boxes (including rewards from loot boxes), currency (including Competive Points), and cosmetic items unlocked with currency-will not transfer over to the live game.

Q. Will I be able to purchase Loot Boxes on the PTR?
A. No. All real-money purchases are disabled on the PTR.

Q. Where can I share feedback about the upcoming patch content?
A. This iteration of the PTR is intended to make sure the upcoming patch is working correctly before it's released, so we'll be primarily focused on uncovering major bugs and technical issues. Though you are still welcome to share your feedback through our normal channels, it's unlikely that we'll be able to incorporate changes based on PTR feedback in this patch cycle.

Please note that the below patch notes only include changes available for testing on the PTR. While the PTR is PC-only, many of these changes will also be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the forthcoming retail patch.

PATCH FEATURES

New Feature: Competitive Play
Once you hit level 25, you'll have access to our newest feature: Competitive Play. This mode was designed to be a more serious experience, allowing players to hone their skills and perfect their strategies. But before diving into the fray, you'll need to play 10 placement matches. These will allow our matchmaking system to gather enough information about your abilities to assign a skill rating.

With your newly acquired skill rating, you'll be matched against players of a similar ability level. And if you play well and win games, the competition will become increasingly fierce throughout the two-and-a-half-month season. Plus, your performance will be rewarded with unique in-game items like sprays, player icons, and Competitive Points (which can be traded in for cosmetic Golden Weapons).

We've also made a number of changes to Overwatch's match format for Competitive Play. Some of these changes are simple interface changes, while others ensure that maps and modes don't favor one side or another-plus we've added a sudden death mechanic that ensures tied games are broken as fairly as possible.

Because Competitive Play is more serious in nature, we want to make sure that player behavior is acceptable. This means that the penalties are more severe than in the Quick Play or Weekly Brawl! modes. Leaving a game early or stepping away from your computer will make you ineligible to join a game until the previous game has ended, and continued infractions could result in restrictions or removal from Competitive Play.

After long and tedious travels through the forums, I decided to just call those support and they explained to me in detail how to do it.

Since copying from a Russian character account is impossible, you need to create a premade character (a character of the maximum level that is equipped for raids).
Let's go to management first. account and in the section "Information about the record", in the paragraph address, click "Edit".

We return to Account Management and create a trial World of Warcraft account. Please note that now when you create your region, it will not be "Russia and the CIS, but" Europe (EU) or "North and South America and Oceania (US)"

Next, follow the link http://www.wow-europe.com/ptr/ (if you chose Europe) or http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/ptr/ (if you chose us), log in and select the newly created trial WoW account. Next you will have a trace. page:

Download client is to download the PTR client (It is independent of your current WoW client)
Copy a Character- copying the character, in fact, what we need.

P.S. At the time of writing, PTR is closed and character creation is not available, but the patch is already being tested on the American PTR, so it will reach us soon.
P.P.S. After all that has been done, you can safely change the country back to the Russian Federation.
P.P.P.S. If in Europe there is too long a wait to create a character, or you simply cannot create it, then try creating it through the American trial.

PTR - test worlds of developers, which sometimes become available for open testing players. What is being tested there? The answer is simple - a future update. If you have a Russian-speaking account and want to get into PTR, follow the next steps.

Step 1: change the country
Change the country specified during registration to the UK. Do it .

2. Create a trial account
When you exit the account control panel, you need to create a new European trial account.

3. Client download and transfer
go here and log in with the newly created account to download a special client (it does not depend on your existing one) and transfer the character to the test worlds. This page looks like this:

Further actions are simple and obvious: by clicking on the appropriate links, you can download the client and copy the character to the test worlds.
