1. The first step is to boil the beans until tender. To do this, pre-soak it overnight in cold water, it will swell well and cook quickly enough. If you forgot to soak the beans, it doesn't matter, fill it with water, bring to a boil, remove from heat and leave to infuse in hot water under a closed lid for one hour. After that, it will cook just as quickly. Well, if you cook beans not soaked in advance, then spend at least two or even three hours on this.


2. Peel the chicken meat (we don't need it) and cut into convenient pieces. It is best to use meat with bones: drumsticks, thighs or ham, as these parts of the chicken are much juicier than, for example, brisket.


3. Fry the meat in a pan with the addition of sunflower oil until golden brown. Peel and wash the onions and carrots under running water, cut them as small as possible and send the onions to the meat to fry first, and then the carrots.


4. When the meat with vegetables is almost ready, add sour cream diluted with boiled water, tomato sauce, finely chopped garlic and spices to taste. Instead of tomato sauce, you can use ketchup, tomato paste, tomato juice, or just take a few tomatoes, peel them by dipping them in boiling water for a minute, and finely chop the stalks and add to the dish. Simmer the resulting gravy for a few minutes.


5. Drain any remaining liquid from separately cooked beans and mix with the gravy. Tint with your favorite spices, if necessary. If the beans seem a bit dry, add more water. Simmer it with meat for about 5-10 minutes. The bean stew with chicken and vegetables will be very tender and will melt in your mouth.

Before you start cooking red beans with chicken, it is worth saying a few words about it. Beans - very useful product, rich in vegetable protein, therefore it is often used in diet programs. With the help of beans, rich in fiber, people fight extra pounds.

In this dish, you should take care of the beans in advance. It should be sorted out and washed. Be sure to soak red beans for 8-12 hours. In practice, I will say that it is convenient to do this at night - I soaked it and forgot, and the next day you can start cooking the product. In addition, soaked beans after boiling do not cause gassing in the intestines.

After soaking, drain the water, fill the pot with beans with fresh water.


Put the beans on the stove, watch out: as soon as the water boils, foam will form. It should be removed, of course.


Cook the beans for 2-3 hours. After 1.5 hours, the beans should be periodically tasted, so that they do not turn into porridge, since some beans are cooked faster, and some slower.

During cooking, the beans should not be salted, otherwise the product will be tough.
Rinse the finished beans under running water.


Peel the garlic and onion. Chop the onion into rings, chop the garlic with a knife. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan, fry onion and garlic until golden brown. Remove the vegetables from the pan into a bowl.


Chicken breast wash, cut into thin strips, so it will fry faster.


Send chicken pieces to the oil heated in a frying pan, fry over high heat for about 5 minutes. Then add spices, tomato paste, soy sauce... Season with pepper and salt to taste.

To prepare the dish, I needed the following ingredients: Pour the beans with cold water and leave for a couple of hours, then drain the water. Pour the beans with clean water, put on fire, after boiling the water, reduce the heat. Cook the beans until tender (about 1-1.5 hours). The cooking time depends on the type of beans. The beans should be soft, but not soft. At the very end of cooking, add salt to taste. Strain the beans through a colander. Do not pour the broth in which the beans were cooked, it can be useful when cooking chicken.

Wash the chicken, dry it, cut into portions, lightly salt and leave in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.

Then put the chicken pieces in a skillet preheated with vegetable oil and fry until golden brown (until half cooked).

Peel the carrots and onions.

Cut the onions into small cubes, grate the carrots.

Fry the carrots and onions, stirring occasionally, until golden brown, then add the cooked beans.

Pour the tomato sauce to the fried vegetables and beans, stir. Instead of tomato sauce, you can use tomato paste or tomato juice, adding salt, sugar and spices to taste.

Cook the chicken and beans in the oven for about 40-50 minutes. Then turn off the oven, open the door, let the dish brew a little.

Chicken cooked in the oven with beans in tomato sauce turns out to be soft, tender, juicy and very tasty.

Step 1: prepare the chicken.

It is very simple to make such a meal, but first you need to prepare the products. Thoroughly rinse fresh chicken fillet under cold running water, dry it with paper kitchen towels, put it on a cutting board and remove the film, cartilage, and small pieces of fat from it with a sharp kitchen knife. Then we cut the meat into small portioned pieces ranging in size from 2 to 3 centimeters, move them into a clean deep dish, sprinkle with black pepper, salt to taste, mix with clean hands so that the spices cover the slices on all sides, and leave the bird in this form on the 15-20 minutes.

Step 2: prepare the onion.


Meanwhile, using a clean knife, peel the onions and rinse them under streams. cold water... Then we send the vegetable to a new cutting board and chop it into rings, half rings, straws or large cubes ranging in size from 5 to 8 millimeters.

Step 3: prepare the beans and the rest of the ingredients.


After that, helping ourselves with a special key, we open a jar of canned beans in the marinade. We throw it into a sieve or a colander with a fine mesh and, without rinsing, leave it in the sink until use so that excess liquid is glass. We don't waste a minute, put on the countertop all the other ingredients that will be needed to prepare the dish, and proceed to the next step.

Step 4: prepare the chicken and beans.


We put a deep frying pan on medium heat and pour a little vegetable oil into it, its amount depends only on your taste, two tablespoons were enough for me. After 2-3 minutes, gently dip the fillet pieces into the heated fat and fry them until golden brown, stirring constantly with a wooden kitchen spatula. First, the meat will change from pink to gray and will be stewed, but after about 10 minutes will begin to brown.

As soon as the chicken is almost ready, add the chopped onion to it, mix everything again and cook them together for about 4-5 minutes... Then we put the beans, tomato paste, which have already dried out in a pan with an already fragrant dish, again loosen everything with a spatula, taste it and, if necessary, add more spices.

After that, we reduce the heat to the minimum level, cover the food with a lid, keep it on the switched on stove for another 3-4 minutes, distribute in portions on plates and immediately serve to the table.

Step 5: Serve the chicken and beans.


Chicken with beans is served immediately after cooking hot as the second main course, which can be served on its own or supplemented with any unobtrusive side dish, for example, buckwheat porridge, pasta, mashed potatoes, boiled rice, fresh vegetable salad, although marinades, pickles, and homemade bread will also work. This delicious and colorful dish, canned chicken with beans, I wanted to make today, on a quiet cloudy autumn day. I cook beans very rarely, not because I don't like them, but somehow I forget about them, and it takes a long time to cook. And then I remembered a recipe that a friend of mine recently shared with me and it uses canned red beans. I decided to bring this recipe to life.

When I cooked this dish, I decided to call it "Autumn Blues", because the riot of colors on the plate reminded me very much of last weekend, when my daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren and I were walking in the park. It was very beautiful!

Chicken with canned beans

Ingredients:

  • canned red beans in their own juice
  • chicken breast
  • carrot
  • onion
  • green beans
  • green pea
  • tomato ketchup
  • vegetable oil

Chicken with Beans in Tomato Sauce Recipe:

  1. Cut the chicken breast into thin small medallions. Pour vegetable oil into the pan (it is better if it is large in diameter and not deep), heat and put the chicken meat. Fry it quickly without covering. Fry until the juice, which has released the meat, has completely evaporated. The meat fried in this way will be juicy and tasty. Put the finished chicken fillet in another frying pan with high sides.
  2. Wash, peel and grate the carrots either on a coarse grater or on a grater for Korean carrots.
  3. Wash the onions, peel them and chop finely.
  4. Put in the pan in which the chicken was fried, add a little vegetable oil, carrots and onions and fry a little.
  5. I decided to add a little color to this dish, this was not in the recipe that my friend shared with me. In the pan where the carrots and onions were fried, I put green beans and green peas. These bright green vegetables were in my freezer and you don't need to defrost them in advance, put them in the pan right away and continue to fry until tender.
  6. Add ready-made vegetables to the chicken, also add canned beans, after draining the juice. To mix everything.
  7. Making tomato sauce - dilute a little tomato ketchup with water and add to the dish. Perfect for this, I always prepare it myself, it is much tastier and healthier than the store one. If this dish is made in summer, then tomato sauce can be made from fresh tomatoes.
  8. Stir all ingredients, cover and simmer together. After 5 to 7 minutes, the chicken and canned beans are ready.

Serve hot. It is self-sufficient and can be served without a side dish. If, after all, there is nothing without a side dish, then you can serve it with pasta or with boiled rice.
