Heroes of the Storm changed the progression system and added Kassia. Determine the level by the color of the frame Heroes of the storm 2.0 best heroes

everyone is trying to finalize his most unsuccessful project, refresh it with something new, reanimate his beloved “swallow”.

What for?

It would be ridiculous to expect really radical changes. And they really don't exist - you can hardly surprise the players as if with a new progress system. But the old system was cumbersome, outdated and useless, so it will be replaced with a completely new one, copied from .

Little Mercantile Blizzards

It is clear that most of the players with foam at the mouth and turned on OBS will spend the rest of the days opening chests. For those who for some reason enter ... um ... the League of Heroes ... Heroes of the Storm ... Overstorm ... For those who enter the Nexus and press the "play" button, they select Diablo and jet rush on a rainbow pony around the battlefield, prepared another surprise.

Another one of the killers of the great demon from the second part, the Amazon Cassia, will break into the Nexus right on the wave of the hype of the movie "Justice League". And the fact that the universe celebrates 20 years is just a curious coincidence. *deilluminati*.

Yes, it came out on April 5, oh, you know? In the 2.0 update itself, only an unnamed battlefield will appear from the new content.

Outcome

What can be said? very loud number 2.0 has no basis at all. A new discipline is introduced into the game "farming skins". That's all. Perhaps someday they will introduce an auction or an exchange system, but this is unlikely. Yes, patches ruling balance, are released regularly, but this does not change, for example, my personal attitude towards the game.

It pains me that almost everything in the game is good: the characters are pleasant to listen to, nostalgia tickles the soul, the visual style does not change the characters beyond recognition. But I really don't want to go into it. It's clear what he wants to play Blizzard, they say, come in, dear friend, farm not only portraits and mounts, but also chests, and we don’t limit you in anything, dress up the heroes, twist them as you like. But this is not a dating sim. Why doesn't it have an adequate observer mode, normal synchronization and everything you need for a full-fledged esports game?

The Hero League has always been aimed specifically at the fans, and not to compete with giants like and, this is understandable. It was understandable even when all the major organizations signed esports teams for the Hero League. It became even clearer after the dissolution of most of the compositions. But I would like something more than "Dress Barbie-Kerrigan on a date." We do not believe, do not expect and do not hope for such large-scale changes in the gameplay, only for an increase in the amount of fan service.

As additional motivation to master the new development system, everyone who reached level 40 before the Update Release will receive 30-day stimpacks. Double experience - to get levels and containers even faster!

P.S. I call it the "Hero League" because of the " Blizzard app» Players play a 'League of Heroes'.

Progress system

Player Progression Changes

  • Player level is no longer capped at 40.
  • Heroes already leveled up will be adjusted to match the new experience requirements, but not downgraded.
  • Now player level is equal to the sum levels of all his heroes.
    • Example: if you have 5 level 5 heroes, the player level is 20.
  • Player progress icons in the profile, stats screen, and quest log will display player levels up to and including 99.
    • The decoration of the player's progress icon will become more complex every 25 levels the player gets.
    • Every 100 player levels, the level displayed on the progress icon is reset, and the icon itself changes to a more colorful one.
  • The base portrait frame will no longer display the player's current level.
    • Instead, the base portrait frame will change every 100 levels so that its artwork matches the player's progress icon.
  • Players can still check their level by looking at their profile or hovering over their portrait.

Changes to the Hero Progression System

  • Heroes are no longer capped at 20.
  • Each time a hero gains a new level, the player's level will also increase.

Experience to get the heroes of new levels

  • Slightly increased the amount of experience required for heroes to reach several initial levels.
    • This should reduce the number of times a hero gains multiple levels after a single fight.
    • Low-level heroes will not lose levels after changing experience requirements.
      • Example: a level 3 hero who has earned 50% experience to advance to the next level will not drop to level 2 when a new system is introduced. Instead, he will remain at level 3 and receive 50% of the experience required to move to level 4 under the new system.
  • Slightly reduced the amount of experience required for heroes to gain more high levels.
    • This will reduce the time it takes for heroes to reach high levels by an average of 75%-80%.
    • As a result, heroes who reached level 5 in the previous version will receive additional levels.
      • Example: level 10 heroes in the new progression system will be around level 15. Heroes of level 20 will get around level 55.

Developer comment: We've reduced the damage that Valeera does over a short period of time to make it less difficult for players to counter her. In particular, these changes will come in handy in the "Quick Play" mode, where players do not tend to match heroes based on the composition of the opposing team. There is nothing exciting about playing against a stealthy assassin who can CC and deal high damage quickly. In fact, it reduces the quality gameplay, so we decided to nerf Valeera a bit.

The developers divided the release of the beta version of the patch into several parts. On March 31, they announced an updated progression system and a new hero from the universe Diablo II . The following changes will take place from April 12 to May 4 and will be opened on the official page Heroes of the Storm as achievements. Fans of the game are waiting for a new battlefield, two more heroes, several quests and celebrations in honor of the release.

Progress System 2.0

The hero's journey never ends

Now the experience that you get for the game only affects the development of the hero - when you get a new level of the hero, your player level also grows.

Removing restrictions will help us make the growth process more dynamic and meaningful. In addition, thanks to the flexibility of the new system, you will receive prizes every time one of your heroes levels up!

Let everyone see your skill!

Every 25 levels, the pattern on your progression badge becomes more intricate, and upon reaching level 100, the level indicator on it resets and the badge takes on a more epic look. Every 100 levels, the frame of your portrait is also improved - when looking at it, anyone can appreciate your dedication to the game.

Although the number on the development badge cannot exceed 99, you can always find out your overall level in your profile.

Hero Experience and Level Changes

  • The amount of XP required to level up has been changed to address both issues. On the early stages a little more experience was required to obtain levels, and at later levels - less by about 75-80%.
  • As a result of the innovations, the levels of some of your heroes will change slightly when upgrading. Heroes above level 5 will probably get one or more extra levels straight away!

Example: Heroes that reach level 10 by the time the update releases will automatically level up to approximately level 15. Those who have reached level 20 will jump to about 55!

The changes will also affect low-level heroes, as the amount of experience required to level up in the early stages has increased. But the loss of levels does not threaten anyone. Instead, the amount of experience earned by the heroes will be increased to the amount required to reach the same level under the new system.

Example: a level 3 hero who has earned 50% experience to advance to the next level will not drop to level 2 when a new system is introduced. Instead, he will remain at level 3 and receive 50% of the experience required to move to level 4 under the new system.

Containers for everyone!

  • The containers that you will receive for each level up hide all possible game rewards - and even heroes!
  • As you level up, you will begin to receive not only ordinary, but also rare and epic containers. Each type of container is guaranteed to contain at least one trophy of the corresponding rarity or higher, and even in a regular container you can find a rare, epic or legendary item.
  • In addition, for every 10 levels earned with a single hero, you will receive a special container with a guaranteed item for that hero. We plan to frequently expand the range of trophies in containers and promise a lot of pleasant surprises.
  • If you get tired of waiting for the next level, and you want to open the container right now, or you have a premonition that luck is on your side, you can also purchase containers for money - to do this, click the "Buy" button on the trophies screen.

Time to dress up!

Among the game menus at the top of the screen, there is a new Containers tab, where you can take care of your trophies at any time. Each container contains 4 items. In addition to heroes, skins, and mounts, Loot Chests contain a plethora of new cosmetic items to help you make your heroes truly unique.

Commentators. Let your favorite heroes comment on your victories, kill streaks and much more! Now you can choose a voice that will comment on the situation on the battlefield.

Replicas. Cheer up your friends and taunt your enemies with your heroes' signature phrases.

Banners. Show your enemies who is in charge here - plant a flag with your personal sign on the ruins of an enemy fort or fortress, in a captured mercenary camp or at a control point.

Graffiti. Leave your mark on the battlefield - draw it right on the ground. We have added some animated graffiti to the game, which will greatly diversify the battlefield.

Emoticons. Coming soon, Heroes of the Storm chats will be much more expressive with a huge collection of stylized and unique emojis in the game that can be used both in the game and outside of it. Moreover, in the game, emoticons adapt to the selected hero, if you have a set corresponding to it.

Portraits. A whole truckload of new portraits for Heroes of the Storm is on the way. It will soon be even easier to showcase your uniqueness on the loading screen, profile, and out-of-game interface.

  • Shards. Shards are used to create special cosmetic items. They appear in containers, and when you get a trophy that you already have, it will automatically break into fragments!

By spending some gold, you can replace the contents of any container up to three times. However, choose carefully - the replacement is irreversible! Players of level 3 and above will receive at least 5 free containers and a special portrait when they upgrade. Those who managed to get more levels will receive up to 70 containers when Heroes of the Storm 2.0 is released.

Collections and equipment: fight in style!

We are pleased to announce the appearance of the "Collection". This menu will replace the in-game store and will help you keep track of the growing pile of treasures you get for progressing or found in containers and purchased in the game. It is here that you can now purchase items, create new ones from fragments, view and organize almost all game treasures.

The "Gear" button on the hero select screen brings up a menu where each hero can be assigned specific skins, mounts, paint cans, and more - even announcer voices! For each hero, you can create up to three sets of equipment, which are saved automatically.

Q&A on reddit

You can ask questions to developers, enter into a dialogue or find out their answer to a topic of interest.

Hanamura is a fairly difficult map in the online game Heroes of the Storm 2.0 - and since you can't attack the cores directly, a new approach is required. This guide will help you use the most important strategic points of the map and choose the best heroes for effective attacks.

How to escort combat equipment around the map

Combat gear usually spawns from the side of each team, and there are specific paths for each of them. You must accompany your combat equipment until it reaches its destination, and the more heroes that complete this mission, the faster you will complete it.

If three allied heroes manage to stay close to the payload, they will move really fast - and this will give a huge advantage over the enemy team. As soon as the combat equipment reaches the platform, it will fire one cannonball at the enemy, and then it will repair itself. The next shot will be carried out only after a couple of minutes.

Each core has 7 HP, so you only need to fire seven shots. But firing cannonballs at top speed is not the only way to win on the battlefield. There are a few more tactics you can use:

  • Each team can escort up to two combat gear at the same time, so try to take advantage of this opportunity.
  • Try to destroy enemy fortresses on opposite sides of the map. Each destroyed fort will add an additional shot to your equipment - instead of one shot, it will fire two in a row.
  • Once you've finished delivering your combat gear, you can try to stop the enemy team from delivering it. Just step on them and provoke a fight to prevent them from moving.

Mercenaries

The Hanamura map features three new mercenary camps, as well as a big boss in the very center. If your team captures one of the mercenary camps, instead of attacking the enemies, they will give you special bonuses:

  • Dragon Spirits- Searches for enemy heroes for 5 seconds.
  • Turret- gives a turret that can be mounted on combat equipment for protection.
  • Healing Pulse Restores your team's health and mana over 15 seconds.

The big boss of the battlefield is the Mega Enforcer, which spawns every five minutes after the start of the match. The only real danger to worry about is his purple attack. It can deal lethal damage. other than that, defeating him shouldn't be too hard. And if you defeat him, he will deal one point of damage to your enemy. So this is another good tactic to win the match.

Best Heroes for Hanamura

  • Genjinew hero of , will be extremely effective on this map. He is highly agile and has many abilities based on movement speed. He can quickly get to combat gear using his Pathfinder talent, or get rid of enemy heroes quickly with his Swift Strike and Dragon Blade abilities.
  • Global Heroes- Another set of heroes that will be the best choice for Hanamura, Falstad, Brightwing, or Abathur. All of them can quickly teleport around the map, which will allow them to better control their own combat equipment, as well as check the enemy.
  • The Lost Vikings. For protection, it would be nice to use The Lost Vikings. They can take good care of the path of the cargo and remove unwanted guests who may create obstacles in your path.
  • Rexxar. If you're looking for one effective hero to play with, then consider Rexxar. He is literally the only hero in the game who can deliver cargo twice as fast with the help of his companions Misha and Spirit.

Heroes of the Storm 2.0 is the long awaited update to the popular online multiplayer game. The story takes place in a fantasy world in which players participate in online battles between teams of several people who take part in the role of famous characters from popular games.

Heroes of the Storm has always been a dark horse in the MOBA market. Despite the fact that this is a Blizzard game that uses characters known and loved by millions, HotS lagged far behind the competition. Because MOBA players are a conservative audience. However, a year and a half ago, it would have been unthinkable that Overwatch would become so popular, although there are many shooters on the market. So Heroes of the Storm has every chance to climb higher. Blizzard understands this. Therefore, at a recent closed presentation in Paris, we were shown and given a chance to try Heroes of the Storm 2.0.

I myself have not played HotS for several months. Last time launched, as it does not sound ironic - for the sake of getting buns for Overwatch. However, what was shown to the press behind closed doors was very pleasing and even forced the client to launch a ton of content into the beta test.

Blizzard has spent a monumental amount of time breaking down the current HotS system, examining its strengths and weaknesses, in order to decide the path forward for MOBA. However, the team looked not only inward, but also to other games in the genre, as well as Blizzard's own projects. Therefore, this is not just another update or a series of updates, but Heroes 2.0. If the gameplay remains the same, then the systems surrounding it have changed dramatically.

Heroes 2.0 will mark a new milestone in the evolution of the game. new version- new systems. The new MOBA update will introduce a redesigned progress mechanic. The game will also receive Loot Chests that give all Heroes players access to cosmetic awards and other content.

Beta version of Heroes 2.0 is open from today, full release on April 25th.

Here is a list of the most interesting systems and mechanic:

  • New progress system
  • Loot chests for all players
  • Gems replace real money
  • Crafting cosmetic items with shards
  • Fun social rewards and customization
  • New Hero: Cassia

Now let's go in order.

New Heroes 2.0 progression system

At the heart of Heroes 2.0 is a completely redesigned progression system. For starters, the Heroes of the Storm team abandoned the maximum level - now you can gain experience indefinitely.

In addition, instead of the current system of increasing the amount of experience required after level 12, all subsequent levels require the same amount of experience. Thanks to this, progress will no longer take a lot of time and all subsequent levels open in a couple of hours of play. Or even faster if you use bonuses.

In addition, the player level is now the sum of the level of all heroes, better reflecting the position and experience of the gamer. At the same time, getting each new level, you will earn a new chest with excellent loot. This includes not only common, but also rare and epic items. Upon obtaining the level of the hero, the player receives not only random, but also things specific to this character.

Reaching key milestones in levels - every 5 and 25 levels, the rewards will be even more valuable.
If you are already playing Heroes of the Storm, then all current progress will be transferred to the new "recalculation" system. You can check it out now in the beta client.

Loot chests in Heroes 2.0

A completely new system in Heroes of the Storm will be loot chests - sets of several items of various rarities that can be obtained for progress or bought for gems. Each chest contains four random items from the entire huge list of rewards for the game. This includes playable heroes and chest-exclusive items. You don't have to pay for things. Just like with Overwatch, Heroes 2.0 is free to get all the content just by playing.

Regular loot chests are awarded for each level of the player, while rare, epic and hero-specific chests are awarded upon reaching key points. Not satisfied with what fell in the chest? Just throw it - however, such a "chance" will cost 250 gold.

In addition, chests can also contain exclusive content. For example, Diablo in the form of the embodiment of all evil. One more interesting feature will be that the chest will necessarily contain at least one item corresponding to the level of the chest or higher.

If you already have some items from the chest, they will be converted into shards - a new crafting material.

Blizzard has announced that it is designing the Heroes 2.0 chest system so that the rewards are not completely random, so that even the most unfortunate players will receive good things.

Cosmetic rewards in Heroes 2.0

Loot chests in Heroes 2.0 contain a whole sea of various cosmetic items. Do you play Overwatch? There are not less of them, and, most likely, even more. Here are the items you can drop in chests:

  • Announcers- several selected heroes will now be able to announce your achievements during the fight
  • Phrases- cheer up allies or taunt the enemy with well-known phrases
  • Emoji- a huge collection of icons for each hero, used in chat to best express your mood
  • Banners- raise your personal flag on the battlefield, showing your dominance ... the main thing is that it is not a white flag - comrades will not appreciate it. However, it can also be a trap.
  • Sprays- yes, yes, these are the same sprays from Overwatch that can be used to mark the battlefield. But do not count on them to act indefinitely, otherwise they will distract from the fight itself.
  • portraits- reflect your personality and tastes both on the loading screen and on your profile

Simply put, it will take years to collect all this. Although if you play only a couple of characters in a casual format, then you will pick up “cosmetics” for your favorite heroes quickly enough.

Collection of things Heroes 2.0

Since everything needs to be stored somewhere, Heroes of the Storm will get a separate tab in the menu called "Collection". This is the central hub for buying new items, crafting cosmetics with shards, and browsing everything available in the game. I wonder what else you can discover for your hero - welcome to the Collection.

In addition, in the section, you can set up "sets" that allow you to equip heroes in advance with skins, mounts, sprays, and even announcers. In total, three sets are available for each hero, allowing you to quickly change it appearance. Perfect for those players who are not averse to adapting to the team.

Gold and Gems in Heroes 2.0

In addition to the existing Gold, Gem will also become available in Heroes of the Storm as a virtual currency. In combination with the crafting option with shards, players get different ways to get new heroes and cosmetic items.

Gold in Heroes 2.0 can be used not only to open heroes, but also to drop chests - if you don't like what's in the chest - pay some gold and alternative things will open.

Gems have replaced real money. Their function is generally comparable to that familiar from other games - buying heroes or items in the store. In addition, each player will receive 1000 gems at level 5 and from time to time as they progress in the game.

As for the store, here you can not buy everything at once - they change on a regular basis.

New Hero - Cassia

In honor of the 20th anniversary of the Diablo series, the HotS team decided to add a spear-wielding Amazon to the game to remind Blizzard veterans of the glory days of Diablo II. Armed with the power of lightning and a stout shield, Cassia takes on the role of an aggressive assassin, able to evade even the most powerful physical attacks.
